Teppelin is a floating kingdom on a rock probably within a day of flight from Madness; closest airport to it is Arondale, which is a week away from Madness on foot, which is how Lonne and Neppo arrived.

Okay, so the Teppelin Sylphs aren't Fae. That way their backstory (essentially, found an either other dimensional or old copy of Gurren Lagann's manga and decided to turn that into an entire country) makes more sense. Also, because them surviving a war with the courts and the gods of the Fae would be improbable, especially that early.

If you're wondering what the Winter Court has to offer the answer is: A lot. It's effectively a quarter of Faerie.

Also: Each of the Courts does correspond, more or less, to a geographical region on Earth, though it is by no means perfect and they dot and overlap and do weird non-euclidean things all the time. It's very general and vague. Plus, with teleportation being a fairly common ability among the Fae, as well as the various Roads(the Rose Road in particular might interest you), it doesn't matter too much anyway, except for those who prefer to anchor themselves in the mortal world more. There's plenty of them, after all.

The Fall Court is in a lot of Asia and Eastern Europe, the Spring Court has quite a bit of western Europe and South America, the Winter Court has most of Oceania and the oceans in general, while the Summer Court holds sway fairly heavily over Africa, the Middle East, and Central America.

Northern America, being such a hotbed of change so very quickly(by Fae time), is the one most in flux and contested over when they bother to contest each other. The Courts in general get along fairly well, as they can keep to themselves without much issue, most of the time; it's the intrigue in between their own subjects, since it's a feudal society, that causes issues.

@Private Nomad: I have a feeling that it would be wiser to say that Tia contacts her mother once a week, rather than once a day. This is for a number of reasons, not least of which is that a week in mortal time could easily be a day in Faerie if one is not careful or connected to the mortal world closely, so if she contacted her mother every day her mother(already busy with the kingdom) would likely grow exasperated quickly, leaving aside calling daily being mostly unneeded(perhaps a cursory call, basically a pre-recorded magical message saying 'still fine, every day, but a full conversation? Less likely).

Just a though.
