I feel schools (basically groups of types of spells not a specifically taught things, only way for me to describe it) will give everything more freedom yet still will be in the siphon, runic, and music categories.

I mean, Siphon magic is pretty much just your traditional magic but doesn't use mana. Should it use mana to balance it out and allow for overdrive stuff?

Runic magic is for physical attack and uses body-altering spells and special moves, so that's fine.

Sound magic uses items to cast its magic and each person has a special ability they can use, so that's fine as well.

I guess siphon could use a cost. Maybe it could use mana while Runic is moved to use health?

I disagree with schools, but that's only because my character doesn't really need them. Generating a knife out of nowhere is good enough.

Mana for siphon? Okay.

Okay, making some changes to the character sheet so go ahead and update them;

Runic magic uses health now, but only for spells. Spells can be overdrived by specifying how much health is lost and the such. That would balance it a lot more since runic users tend to have shit tons of health, like Ascen.

Siphon magic uses mana, and can be overdriven with more mana.

Sound magic is pretty much the same.
