Oh. Good for me. Initially thought that only raw language skill counts for fluency & everything else... Still, must try to avoid complex constructions.

Also, if I'm not mistaken about zombies stats, they have zero chance to damage me (or other shal'taka, or most of us, actually). They have no battle skills, and eve those with iron swords can only do something with an improbable roll of 2. They get margin success 2 multiplied by critical... 2*2*WR2+STR4 = 12. Which simply gots deflected from my body scales after tearing a gash in clothes. And that if I just stand there without dodging. So... Um... Can I just walk into the zombie crowd, get merchant and leave, possibly leaving half of my clothes on zombie weapons?

Science is always important. But it needs more flaming cats. Can't we build bridge-based catapults and fling flaming cats at the dust and goo?

You don't know they're zombies, you just know they're undead.

Yeah, too much minmaxing creates wicked glass cannons. And too less - normal people.

scapheap, I just glanced at your derived stats. I think you did something wrong, You should not have 22 INIT and 16 SHRUG and/or SAVE. I will fix this for you.

Ah, I didn't change them from thinking the race numbers were bases, not caps

I don't really remember how combat works and I can't look it up until I get home, but went ahead and posted action anyway.

Knowing this, I could have sworn I had something like 8 initiative. How come even with a crit I only got +6 on the roll?

Done. Also, I thought that I had missed somebody in the initiative roster, but then I realized Culise hadn't posted anything about the combat.

I noticed that movement doesn't seem to be listed as an action in the combat section. Does that mean that such things are abstracted out? How do you determine how close or far away one is from an opponent (important for such things as using ranged weapons, considering your hit chances seem to go up as you get closer).

I want to talk a bit about what I found:

(From IC): Interesting note - there is nothing in rulebook that prevents full-out Dragon throw (Shal'ekkhar) dodge. Compare it to any other Combat skill giving you dodge.

Every other dodge skill has at very least price in action, which prevents it from using during full dodge. But, well, not Shal'ekkhar. The question: is that normal or no? I would certainly enjoy bowling peoples/zombies/... over by simply moving, and it seems quite realistic with my size and mass. Still, considering that I'm dodging, it nearly prevents anyone lesser than 8' from hitting me - if I see them coming, of course.

I'll be parrying anything that comes at me btw. I assume we eon't have to explicitly state that as there's no point not doing so (unless trying to preserve a shield i suppose), but just in case.

((Also, would I need to state I'm using rush, seeing as it applies on a successful attack? If so, consider it stated.))
