Trust me, it'll be less useful than you think. Most armour is built to defend against attacks from enemies in the middle of a melee, not a precision surprise attack.

Most armor isn't designed to act like man-portable tank plating, either.

Stop making things any worse. Sit on a bench. Wait a while to see if things die down, but be ready for anything, including combat.

Unload one barrel into the air again to try and spook the villagers off, and unload the other one into whatever one of the poor bastards stays behind.

PROLOUGE, TURN 5:

Clear the jam by bashing Sean over the head with my gun.

[6] You unjam the gun so well that it fires off, flinging the weapon out of your hand, striking you in the face! -2 Health!((Sorry, but ones and sixes are to much fun when I get them. If it's any consolation, you may commence manrage next turn- the two turns to recharge are up.))

Reload, put 4 rounds in Joe Shoot the original guards in this order: Guard 1 once, Guard 2 once, Guard 3 twice.

[1] You go to shoot them and instead get hit by the guards multiple times before being lifted off your feet by a grenade.

[3] You manage to shake the shellshock off.

 You lose 9 armour and 10 health! Your armour is cracked and won't take to many more hits!

Tell them to get stuffed.

I'm not dead yet.

[5] They are grudgingly impressed with your persistence and agree to heal you if you agree to provide protection to some of his mining operations. You'll even be paid the entire time! Accept Y/N?

[3] You were prepared to fire a few rounds to get the villagers to go off. You notice some dude sitting on a bench, but recognize him as that pacifist guy.

[4] The villagers fire off a few rounds and move to a position where they have an escape route. They deal 5 damage to Grenadier as they throw the grenade that hit Creed, but

[5] They get shot off their feet and make easy targets! The guards take advantage of this and poor sods get dealt 17 damage all told!

  ((The 'Tank actually has less health than you, and about the same amount of armour- he's taken quite the beating. Of he doesn't take out Sean/settle things diplomatically/GTFO of there... and considering the amount of damage he's caused despite getting that damaged, well, there is that other flare to consider...))

Work on something that'd make things less chaotic, such as a device to prevent gunpowder ignition at range.
