I'm willing to name the dragon if you let me play it...
Main problem is that, when selecting ascendants, I am putting preference on people who a) haven't been present on the forums often (so they can be more of a part in some small way) or b) admit to having not played this type of game before (so they get the chance). I know you have been in these games before, so it knocks out you out of the latter, and you are the largest poster on the forums, which knocks you out of the former.
Well, not really. I can squat them with a single act, and they can do no harm to me.
Really, what I'm saying is that one mechanic from the God games is missing. And that is that mortals believing in you add to your power. Without that, everything that happens in the mortal world is completely separate from everything that happens with the gods. We can mess with them, but they can do nothing against us.
Its constant right now because the gods are running off excess energy from the Ultimate Act. After turn 10, however, that's going to run out for all but ascendants and the Overgod, Elder Gods getting one unbound act per turn and Younger Gods getting one unbound minor act per turn. Everything else will have to be made up through worship.
Edit: Oh, and Ancients? They have to run directly off of worshipers and what they can grab form killed Gods.
Things are going to be getting...violent soon after turn 10...
IceFire, your race is primarily the leaders of the two great civilizations or are general members of the third. There is some anger and the such, yes, but there is no persecution yet. Though, now that you have said it, it
is going to happen this next turn.
