Religious Debate
« on: March 17, 2014, 11:10:35 am »

Originally created to redirect discussion from rage thread; rendered unnecessary by Tack being logical and Yoink and Bauglir using tactical monopoly to head off the discussion.

... as has been said before, if a topic is made specifically to bleed off an argument from another thread, it probably shouldn't be made.

I know, but the people in the other thread specifically said they weren't going to stop. I couldn't think of anything else meaningful to do, and I quite like the rage thread still existing. Feel free to fire away if you have a better idea.

As one of our local anti-theists, I am PTWing with interest. I shall go and fetch some popcorn and watch the crazy unfold for as long as the Toad lets this live.

Won't be long. An inflamatory topic with little to no control will devolve into a flame war almost instantly.

Hello. I am a Pastafarian. My religion is best religion. Because heaven has beer volcanos and stripper factories. The factories produce both male and female strippers, and you don't see the gender that you're not into.

Have a nice day. I'll be joining the peanut gallery.

Agnostic here- I believe in everything and doubt everything.

There is currently a minor problem in that the veteran demons fighting in the corpse factory have failed to die in the 2 year battle and have become legendary unkillable gods of war. I may have misjudged this possible outcome.

Hell also has those.

Granted, the beer's stale and the strippers have STD's, but what to I care ^_^.

Heh. Pastafarianism is hilarious. Some of their 'fixes'.

1. Gravity is the FSM pushing down on everyone. People have been getting taller because there's more of us, so it's harder to push all of us down.
2. There's no witches because the spanish inquisition killed them all. Ever stop to think why you're not afraid of catching smallpox?

And other hilarities.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Considering locking this because:
a) The debate seems to have disappeared from the rage thread without reappearing here
b) 10ebbor10 is right, because
c) timezones mean I'm going to vanish sometime in the not too distant future.

If anyone strongly disagrees, speak now, or forever hold your piece etcetcetc.

Then there's the 'Communion Test'. Have two people fast for a week, then feed one a Christian communion wafer, and the other a Pastafarian communion pasta dish. The one who ate the the Christian wafer had lower heart rate, brain function and body temperature. The one who ate the Pastafarian pasta dish had none of those symptoms and felt "full", likely with the spirit of the FSM.
