[6+2/8 = ~6] The container is filled with all manner of expensive couches, bedding, bathroom furniture, bookshelves, and tables. The info on the container reads:
CONTAINER 32
TO KRANE SHIPYARDS
ORDER ID: 14221

Before you start removing the contents from the container, you hear shudders through the hall. Upon closer examination, it seems that several explosive charges went off along the edges of the container, causing it to fragment. Due to the lack of gravity, the furniture inside is now floating mid-air, but as soon as you apply thrust everything will go to the back of the cargo bay and be crushed. You task the loading arms to fix the issue, moving the discharged plates to one side and piling the furniture inside specialized crates for storage along the walls.

As you once again leave the shuttle, you notice a conga-line of spider droids marching across the cable you used to connect the shuttle to the shipwreck. They will be at the shuttle next turn if you do not stop them.

Each one is about a meter in height--large enough to do some damage, but not to overpower you. Hopefully.

[4] Continuing the search, you discover personal information and I.D's on all the ship's crew. You also find a list of people the crew has killed--including one CN officer, quite recently. The note for him states:
-Left his body in the hold. Had some sort of nanite device with him. Didn't touch it in case it had to do with Plague research.

- Hey, folks, looks like there is a CN officer they killed was tossed somewhere in cargo hold. They mention some nanite device, that caught my attention. Any volunteers to investigate?

-Well, it's not like we can catch the plague or something. Still, can't do that till Dave-bro hauls his intellectually-impaired shiny metal ass here.

-Ah. Helpful.

Override the controls and bring the shuttle back remotely. Dock it, but don't open the airlocks yet.

[2] Opening up the map Anton located in a separate window, you begin to look for any infomation about the civilization and installations present on various objects in the solar system. Unfortunately, it seems that the map is strictly one for calculating travel costs and has no information on shipyards or ownership.

With that, you take a moment to understand what exactly has happened to the solar system during the time in which you were unaware. Titan has been colonized... and apparently there is a shipyard somewhere. One of the Orbiter habitats, perhaps? Perhaps the denizens of Habitat 0 used their space elevator to their advantage. You recall a project in its distant planning stages back when you were still working. The idea was to use engineering technologies inherited from the Skylander structural engineering in order to restore Habitat 0's space elevator and allow further Habitats past #14 to be constructed more easily.

You're not sure that the project could have been finished so quickly.

[2+1/7 = ~3] With your cloud inhabiting a 'bubble' of sorts around you, controlled carefully by magnetic repulsion and attraction, you begin to extend the bubble to surround the Spider Robots™ and invade their internal systems. Your nanites dig away at the joints, eventually working their way into one of the droids and invading the interior of the device. However you notice something very strange about the droid's interiors: they are hollow! With no electronics to take control of!

You feel the surface you are attached to rumbling as Wasp's engines start up outside of your control. The cable connecting Wasp to the pirate ship snaps under tension, [2] sending eight of the Spider drones flying toward Wasp's surface, near you! They attach themselves to the hull and begin to move in an organized fashion, surrounding you evenly at a space of about 2m.

[5] Still looking for information, you actually dig up something a little more immediately useful: some information on the beginnings of the Cloud program. This was in a file encypted differently from the others--perhaps the pirates kept the file but didn't know what to do with it. Or maybe it was just useless info to them.

I've finished a basic precept. I've attached it to this message.

---Quoted Text---

Researcher Morse,
Your contributions to the Cloud project are outstanding. With your help, we have devised a simple controller that lets us send commands to the nanites using a simplified scripting language. The beginner's handbook on how to use the language should be available to you.

For the future of the project, it is imperative that you learn the scripting language. For the CN to continue funding us, we have to show them some progress. When you have learned the script, could you design a basic precept and send it to us?

Thanks, Jason Resnick.

Level up: Hacker!
New Precept: Defend! Create a defensive barrier of nanites, forming a directional shield 1m across that can block small arms fire. Requires a minimum roll of 2 to execute and reserves 40% of Cloud while active.

You take Wasp back by force. As it approaches the ship once more, you notice something strange going on before you dock it: Dave appears to be in a brawl with some mechanical spider-like drones on top of the craft.
