Guy I have a really terrible plan but you can't stop me. Get any hostages to the airlock ASAP. David out.
Take my hostage to the wasp and restrain him. Then, I cut open holes in the ship six minuets after I send that message.
Do this but without a hostage of my own.

"Ah yes, this does explain a bit of the confusion, doesn't it. I must have misspoken recently and said planet. No, as far as I can tell our interest in is in the moon. The question does remain, however, if we want mining equipment for it, since our scan revealed both mining operations and unidentified minable material."

Anton replies hastily as he accelerates.

-I think we should make a mining rig. Dunno what next - if we capture this ship, we can scrap it or refit it. In any case, we should leave a mining rig on the moon for some steady profit.

Order the production of a mining rig and a mining drone, then move about the ship and look for anything in need of maintenance.

[2] You attempt to slice the hapless space pirate's neck, but he wriggles free of your mechanical grip (not without some wounds and torn sleeves) and grabs his gun with his teeth! Dave moves to capture the hostage, so you focus on continuing your assault on the bridge.

The other pirate is still in front of the elevator, having backed away from the opening between elevator and shaft as you pulled his comrade. You can either continue with hit-and-run attacks or just make your entrance and state your demands.

You hear a voice: "Send the elevator down!"
The voice is followed by the harsh sound of boots clinging to the metal floor and being used too quickly, scratching the surface.

[Observe: 5] Hearing what Hamilton also heard and recognizing the threat, you scramble up the shaft [4+2/8 = ~5] in a flash and toss one of the grenades after priming it.
[1] The grenade buckles inside your hand and begins to leak toxic gas into the elevator shaft. you throw it as fast as you can, but by the time it goes over the edge and enters the bridge, it has already exhausted its supply.

(2) On the bright side, the pirate grinds to a halt on the floor as he sees the grey mist rising out of the shaft.

"Well, that'll do em in."
"Poor Rodrick."
"Say, James, ya booby trapped the grenades, didn't ya? Good stuff."
"Sir, I didn't do a thing. I'm afraid we're just incredibly lucky."
"Alright then. After the air scrubbers clear it out, I need you three boys to get the suits out of the closet and see what you can find."

[4] You fire another pulse at the pirate's other hand, rendering him effectively disarmed (ha ha). As he floats by, you pluck him out of the air and make your way back toward Wasp, when suddenly you see a grey mist coming down the shaft. Your squad probably broke a steam pipe or something.

[3] After shoving the wounded pirate inside a closet and taking his gun, you come back to the shaft and run some diagnostics on your systems. First, you check your battery supply:
Estimated Supply: 29 minutes.
Already? With nanotechnology where it is you at least expected the suits to have better batteries. Since your modified version is so much heavier and less efficient, its average battery life goes from about ten hours to a couple at best.

Samarkand AKA Felicia Hasting
Spoiler: Skills (click to show/hide)

You set the manufacturing system to begin producing a mining rig. Unfortunately, you've run short on materials!
Since your only structural material is Steel, and you have 58 Steel, you cannot meet the requirement of 65 Steel (15 Steel + 50 Structural Material). Production cancelled.

You might as well scrounge about for anything that needs attention--for repairs or recycling.

[4] You've noticed that a lot of the machinery in the utility closets is old and rusted, after years of cold, damp conditions. You have about twelve floor scrubbers in this particular habitat section, but after you go back and test them only four of them actually start when plugged in.

[5] You check on the plumbing and also find several nonfunctioning pumps. This could be bad, as a malfunction could compromise the interior of the ship. Every nook and cranny that isn't habitat or storage either contains expensive equipment or is filled with water. Water is the blood of a spacecraft, used for all sorts of applications including fuel, cooling, refrigeration, manufacturing, and chemical processing. It even dissipates the energy of projectiles impacting the hull.

Continue hit-and-run attacks.

((Frankly speaking, I am not quite sure where are we situated around the lift.))

Take two more grenades, run up to the bridge ASAP, then pull the pins on the grenades and throw them in. Then charge in and engage the closest hostile still conscious with my fists.

Use scavenging skill to salvage what I can from the broken scrubbers, and try to fix the pumps with the salvaged parts. ((Also, if those scrubbers are sizable, maybe I can get ~7 units of structural material out of them?))

[5+2/8 = ~6] Realizing that you have the element of surprise, you decide to push this new body to its limits, leaping over the edge of the shaft while shrouded by toxic mist. You leap at the closest enemy that you can find and wrap your metal arm around his face and tightening your grip until the servos reach their maximum range of motion. Then, you retreat into the mist without a hint of retaliation from the unsuspecting crew left on the far side of the bridge.

You hear the others gasping at the sight of their friend disappearing in the blink of an eye. With your knife prepared, you finish off the bewildered space pirate and toss him bouncing down the shaft, doing what you originally intended to do with the first one and decorating your shoulder plate with the blood on your knife.

You've also got some intel on the bridge: It is a cylindrical chamber located in the center of the craft, presumably wrapping around the elevator. Its radius is about ten meters, the open spaces being filled with computer consoles, desks, tables, and crates. At the far side, where the remaining pirates are, there is a set of couches and a monitor hanging from the ceiling on a swiveling mount.

You don't recall there being other grenade cases in the storeroom. However, there are three more grenades in the case. Perhaps at least one of them is still functional.

[5] [5] [5] (what the heck)

The rest are in perfect condition. You toss them in, and hear three satisfying 'pow' sounds echo throughout the shaft and bridge. You charge into the room, your visor automatically switching to thermal as it becomes thick and hard to see. In the distance, a little bit further past the clouds (but not safe from it!) are four enemies. You don't move to engage them yet, as you are armed, but as the room fills up they will be highly vulnerable (and most likely dead).

More dialogue:
"Get the masks, get the masks!"
"Who are we dealing with?"
"Whyyy!"

The remaining pirates stat to all rush toward the western side of the room, toward a fire extinguisher mounted on the wall and some boxes containing medical supplies.

The scrubbers are mostly plastic, useless for structural purposes. the best you can do is melt them into voxels for future use. You can get some circuits out of them, though.
[5+1/7 = ~6] Level Up: Scavenger!
+30 Circuits
+350 Voxels
+3 Steel

After dismantling one, you realize that its flaws were minor and you probably could have repaired it. Oh well. On to the pumps.

[4] Your engineering knowledge allows you to make some hasty repairs and analyze possible dangers such as weakened piping and fatigued components. While you can't repair the pumps immediately without some manufacturing, the ship's plumbing is still functional, and you just majorly reduced the chance of a spill or rupture.
Since the parts you removed are broken, you send them to manufacturing. It will take 16 Steel to replace them all, as well as 200 Voxels.

"I like the smell of gas grenades in narrow corridors and small rooms. It smells like... victory."

Shootout time! I had a pistol I picked up, time to use it in further assault along with my trusty knife.

Should have surrendered when I first told you.

Attempt to move through the mist undetected, grab the closest pirate and drag him into the toxic cloud, then hide there again.
