Seeing as it'll be my first time running a mafia game, I'll also need someone to help me balance the roles.
And there's the other stuff I'll need to figure out too- quick topics, time zones- but I think it'll be worth it.
I'll be keeping it to 7 town and 2 mafia- no third parties for my first time running a mafia game. On the plus side, if I get the design right(perhaps with help), it might be a good starting game for new mafia players.

You are town. Each night, you can guard another player to prevent them from acting or being acted upon.

Preventing them from being acted upon in general would block investigations.

BMs are not quite the easiest games to run (Vengefuls practically run themselves), but they're pretty easy to run if you read the rules carefully.

Easiest way is to quote the op from a previous BM and rewrite flavor and role pm flavor.  Just read the rules after you quote them for a refresher.  I know I made a few mistakes in my first BM but nothing super serious.

Anyway I need four more people for Big Top Mafia anyone who isn't busy.

Webadict wrote a couple short guides you might find useful: a short BYOR-specific guide and 6 points to keep in mind when designing setups.

As for time zones, I recommend figuring out what your time zone is and using that, so you don't have to convert anything to your time.  All of my games are in PST because I live on BC's west coast.  Days should start and end at a time when you are consistently available.
