I always found the puzzle of figuring out exactly how to best push everyone's buttons quite entertaining... :/ The "technologies of logic" approach isn't my favorite, because there's much better logic puzzles to be had. Eh. and most of my friends are gone

Heh. I remember when I could pin whether you were mafia or not right off the bat. Those were fun days. If you want one for pushing other people's buttons, I thought it was pretty funny that you very nearly considered leaving games if I was in them.

I can't say I'm that good anymore. I could play mafia at a party, but online mafia just takes too long for me now, which is why I don't play. Stupid having a job and a volatile schedule.

Huh.  I just realized that, while not a part of the old guard by any stretch, I don't seem to qualify as a member of the "new group" of mafia players either.  Of the people currently playing in mafia games, we have:
roo (joined recently)
Peradon (joined recently)
Deus Asmoth (joined recently)
Deathsword (joined before me)
TheDarkStar (joined before me, I think)
flabort (joined after me, but close enough I still think of him as part of the same mafia "generation" as me)
origamiscienceguy (joined recently)
Dani (joined recently)
Playergamer (joined recently, I think?  At the very least restarted playing recently)
notquitethere (joined before me)

Of which only two players have joined before me that I know of and one that I think joined before me.

Huh.

I also just realized that several people joined after me and then faded out after a few games and aren't here now (Jiokuy and Varee come to mind).

I feel old.

Ehhh, it's a localised meme coming from this User named Grisha5, after Grisha made a thread saying 'Yo I'm back' it kinda... Spiraled out of control, leading to vandalisation of a wikipedia page which got toady to step in, it came back after... PenguinOfHonour made an April fools thread about grisha5.

What I did is just create a theme, (Aztec sacrifices) and just make up flavor text as the situation demanded it.

I find we put way more effort into flavour than I've seen in other forums; I enjoy games where the setting descriptions offer subtle clues to night actions etc. Even when it gives no information, I like it when it ties into the mechanics in a way that makes sense.
