Townhunter:  Instead of seeking to find scum, identifies townies and eliminates them from suspicion.
That sounds like me.

Fun bug while making this mafia vidcon game: I set up the most rudimentary AI to test basic functioning: every turn they have a 1/3 chance of voting someone who isn't themselves. It was taking ages for a hammer to arise naturally in testing and after about forty turns the AI have 3 votes on me with 4  to hammer, so I decide to just vote myself. Due to some dodgy coding this lynches someone completely different who happens to be the only scum in the game! If only it were that easy in forum mafia...

Hah! Amusing bugs.
Is the problem in the lynch code or the hammer code?

Uh, I think it was calling for the person whose actions were last checked to be lynched rather than the person who has the most votes. Should be an easy fix.

When I get something half way playable I'm going to call on you guys for some beta testing.

It's text based and going to run in a browser so I get to program it in the only language I know... Inform 7.

Oh holy shit.  I just started reading about it and it's COBOL.   D:

Coding aside, I would love a Mafia Simulator.

I'm fairly sure I fall under Hyper-Tunneler.

Well, I wouldn't say that exactly. It's very well suited to making text adventures, and you end up with code that, if well written, is made up of grammatically well formed English sentences.

Cheese, thanks for collating the list, that's actually quite helpful.

Now I'm trying to think on how to code this thing in z/OS assembler.  -_-

Again, I like programming in assembler.  Alas, I need to go back to playing with datasets on tape drives and catalog management for now.
