"Rain is no match for Kano Hayashi." he says, flexing his weak muscles. "In fact... I think I could use a soda."
Kano, with many grunts and winces of pain, slowly lifts himself off his chair and goes to the vending machine a few meters beside them.
 "Want anything?"
_"I-I," she says, looking away with an uneasy expression on her face, _{"I-I... I just..."}

"But you like Toffee Chocolate more. Would you like me too get you a beef bowl later then?"

"I'm not asking you to repay me, you know."
Takako just listens, concerned.
"No, I don't want to burden you too much."
"What do you think I'm going to do if you tell me? I want to be here for you as you're clearly sad. You don't want to, that's fine, but it'll be better for you if you get it off your back."

"You don't need to. I didn't get you something special, why should you get me anything?"

Kano buys her a chocolate bar anyways, while buying himself a cherry soda. He walks back and sits back down, handing the large chocolate bar over to her.
_{"I-I'm scared t-to be a-a-alone..."} she stammers, her body trembling.

"Who said you were alone?" Shinji sits next to her and presses up slightly.
Takako nods, frowning.
Haruka takes them, surprised slightly."Thanks, Senpai...."
"About what?"

 _"I-I..." she stammers, not moving away from him, and trembling less.
"I just don't know what to do. All I can do is teach, really."
"That's what friends are for." Kano says with a smile.

She nods. "Good to hear she won't suffer in silence, at least." She smiles.
"Yes! I defrosted the ice king." She pumps her fist.
Shinji just nods. "Just doing what anyone else should."
