A very distressed Sophie responded with a very uncharacteristic rambling shout.

:"I AM DYING, I AM ACTUALLY DYING! It is TOO HOT, I am from the MOUNTAINS!"

Elysse giggled slightly and called back to the pair she'd just left,

"Father, perhaps just let it be for now. She's been doing a lot and if it makes her able to participate in this battle, then let her. Besides, it is rather hot if you're not used to this sort of weather."

Kat opened her eyes as Elysse healed her. She had all but accepted death, alone and bleeding out on the hot sands, and it took her a few moments to realize she hadn't been forgotten and left behind - that the pain disappearing meant she had been healed, not parting from her mortal shell.

"...thank you..."

She continued to lie there - for now, she didn't have the strength to rise to her feet once more, and the heat of the sun and the sand was still warming her body, cold as it was from her near-death experience.

"You're welcome. You've fought well and, uhm, I'm sorry I couldn't help sooner. Uhm... I hope that you're ok now."

Kat tried to force a smile, but the false expression didn't come as easy as it usually did. Feeling was returning, and with it pain. Lots of it.

"...I'll be OK. Don't worry about me."

Elysse quietly shook her head.

"I am new to this group, I know, but I am now part of it. Which means it's my responsibility to take care of you and the others in it. I will worry about you for as long as we are fighting."

Kat sat up, a hand to her stomach where she had been wounded, and looked up at Elysse.

"It's not as bad as it seems! See?"
