: "And yes, I be a full-time healer. Used to take a more...proactive role, but it has been a long time since I owned any tomes, much less used them."

: "Correction: they SOMETIMES can't be bothered." He gave an extra loud harrumph which probably fooled no-one.

Her tone was joking, even if she was mostly telling the truth.

Lesan skulked a fair distance away from the group. Too many girls. And pretty ones too. He sighed hugely.

"That's just my way of saying I have a Swarm tome. Don't worry about it! I wouldn't put bugs in your pants. Or steal your gold."

Kat patted Elysse on the shoulder.

"Good, because I'll be too busy smashing people who can actually kneel over and die."

"... Ah. Uhm, ok. Thank you. Though I don't have a lot of gold for you too steal, so, uhm... yeah. Just as long as you don't try to steal my bow or staffs." She chuckled slightly mostly nervously.

"Huh? What are you talking about?"

"I won't steal anything from you as long as you don't try to kill me. In fact, depending on what I get ahold of, I might be bringing you presents like that staff! I gave it to Gramps, but if he thinks you would get more use out of it that's good too."

"I won't discriminate between the living and the undead."

"Yeah, well I do. We went over this before, remember?"

"Huh? What are you talking about?"

Kaarina laughs.

"The undead would make great sparring partners."

For her part, Sophie just huddled in the minimal shade available, miserable.

"Not a fan of the heat, hun? Drink up - it'll make you feel better."
