I'm fairly sure you can't overwrite HM moves. Not even with the move forgetter in the early games.

One of the move deleter's functions is to remove HM moves. (Un)fortunately, he was introduced in the second generation.

I think I'm now glad this whole thing happened, solely for the purpose of pissing off everyone on imgur who has to sift through these looking for the mountains of Hiddleston/RDJ/Dr Who/whatever is trendy to "me too" post on.

Yeah the plan is to give him an extra shot at Psychic (spoiler alert: it will be overwritten by Poison Gas).

e: Also we have the Master Ball now so expect an epic toss war

e2: The most popular choice for the Master Ball (Zapdos) seems pretty optimistic, I think "throw it at a wild pokemon instead of at the ground" seems like a more realistic goal

also the poison gas problem can be mitigated by not evolving until after 33

and democracy almost managed to be picked again when the threat of tossing the master ball dawned

Catching a Zubat in the Master Ball would be a victory though.

Most likely they throw it at one of the Pokémon in this gym and lose it. Or the ground.
