Let's go for the barracks and get those planes first. If you make a nice broad turn past the gun emplacement there, and then continue in a long low turn following the shore. Should give me a decent shot.

If possible, open fire at emplacement, then at the barracks, then the planes.

On a completely unrelated note, I got second place in the stupid literature conference.
Good job!

Through the wind moaning fiercely around, Charleston shouts:

- Let us hit the kites in the first place! The kites! Drive me closer! I want to hit them with my sword!

Then tries to follow the Kites posistion and the area around them with the crosshairs of machinegun. Open fire on Kites when possible without hurting our own plane, or when any men show up down there near the Kites.

"The kites are a problem, granted, but those bloody big guns should be our first objective!"

do a low sweep to the side the emplacements for my gunnah, then curve over for a run near the kites.

Kinda meh, actually: most of the works present were about Russian classics, so everybody is like "Gogol-Dostoevsky-Tolstoi! Hurrah, gentlemen!" and I am like "Gibson! Cyberpunk! Post-cyberpunk! Down with the Man!" And the jury is like "This boy knows so many words we don't understand, he must be clever. Let's give him second place so we maintain plausible deniability if it turns out he's stupid."

Okay, still waiting for everyone to post.

((It's a somewhat known occurence in heavy fortifications. However, coastal artillery by its very definition frequently has large areas of coast to defend, and so needs a good deal of elevation and traverse on its guns - meaning that the "bunkers" are usually open enough that an airplane can easily strafe them. More often than not the "bunker" is attached to the cannon and is just a shield to prevent destruction by invading ships, rather than aircraft. Example.))

((Well, you're pretty right, I guess. I though that-wise. Anyway, I think machinegun fire is no use against those.))

It's like Sean's example, mostly - Irontooth Bay is not very thoroughly fortified.

Okay, so I'm gonna go nudge all the other guys - this party is kinda slow in starting, I've noticed.

((What's our mission right now?))
Fly towards the barracks while avoiding getting shot.

...

Note the number of ships and the position of artillery in the bay, wreak destruction where possible, scram. It's pretty clear, innit?

"Barracks and Kites first. Got it!"
Make a broad turn around the barracks and the airstrip, turning at an angle which allows my gunner to shoot from one of the sides out to the barracks.
