Start a small fire like Mal said "on a stick" then try to see if we can communicate mentally with it.
Fire can't talk.

Telepathy with fire?

If not lets just do something more simple like setting a branch on fire by the snow. Preferably away from our Hut.

attempt to create TWO flames at once.
How will you do this?

There's no snow in the Green Season, but there's plenty of branches. You pick up a branch and hold your flame to the end of it. The branch is now on fire.

Belongings - You can only carry so much with you. Leave unneeded items in your chest at home.
Plain Robes

Locations
Clearing - Where you live. Its located in the center of a quiet stand of woods.

Pyromancy Journal - Your notes help you to control your power.

Pyromancy
After years of meditation and training myself to focus my will, I've finally managed to create something. Who knew this feeling could be so satisfying? And yet.. I'm not sure how I did it. It was lucid, and at the same time so incorporeal.

Spark
I remember picturing my will and concentrating it into a single point. This tiny white mote.. like light through a pinhole.. and it was so hot! I panicked, tried to escape. Like an animal I had to get away from this searing pain that was trapped inside me. As I moved away, it leapt out! And suddenly all I felt was.. Cool.. And that was when I lost my focus. Why did I choose to think of home at that particular moment? I never want to remember what happened there again. Ever..

Heart of the Flame
I pictured the mote of light again, but this time instead of running I tried drawing it in. Naturally I was burned (after a brief physical examination I confirmed that this experience was purely mental). The closer you are to the heart of a fire, the hotter it becomes. I should have known better, but then how could I resist? I think I need to learn a bit more about controlling the flame outside me before trying this again.

Rest. Then create The Spark but don't push it away or pull it toward you, keep it in equilibrium for as long as possible.
When you pull it in, the heat burns you, and if you push it away it goes out. Keeping the flame in equilibrium maintains the flame.
((I know. It was meant as a endurance exercise as Pyromancy apparently takes energy.))
Before your endurance training stack some other sticks on top of the first one to make a lasting fire for later experimentation.

Hold the branch with the fiery tip away. Now concentrate on the fire making it degrade little by little without letting it burn the entire stick {or our hands}. Rinse and repeat and we'll call it basic Fire management for our Log's.

Also we should name exercises for now on just cuz :D

Hm...
Try creating the Spark again. Gently toss it, while trying to keep it still lit.

Attempt to create two flames by focusing on two points, like the ends of two fingers.

Let your ability rest a little. Go out and hunt a small woodland creature to eat.

You're too busy to try doing any of these things right now.

When you try to exert your will on the flame on the tip of the branch nothing happens. You're not sure why this is. Is it not possible to control flame that isn't your own, or do you just need more training?

Hm...
Try creating the Spark again. Gently toss it, while trying to keep it still lit.
You create the tiny flame again. It flickers as you cock your arm back, then toss it with a protracted, underhand motion like you might if you were dropping a stone in a pond. It puffs out the moment it leaves your hand.

Attempt to create two flames by focusing on two points, like the ends of two fingers.
You successfully visualize this. What will you do with your hands?

The flaming stick is still in your hands, burning.

Hmmm my last plan got burned.

Maybe try to make the flame go away using our minds' concentration and our will. While doing this remember we are the flame's masters it cannot go against us!

Try holding The Spark close to the stick and try to absorb it's power into your Flame.

The flame shakes its little flamey fist at you and says in a tinny voice. wheel nevar baow teh yew! nevaarrrr!!

Try holding The Spark close to the stick and try to absorb it's power into your Flame.
The will-made flames overlap. Nothing happens. Why did you think that would work?

Document what? If you mean the fire talking to you that was a joke. Chalk it up to exhausted hallucinations if you must.
