Burn the entire jungle down. Make put the portal on the shore and just ... you know, just stay away from the portal. Fly around above the setlement and watch out ofr groups of organized weapon wielders. ignore everyone else and let them move on their own. Once you have a good forest firegoing, walk it inward, until they have nothing else to do but get in the portal. Auron had the right idea lat island, just a little too late.

What about the ports?  Also, wouldn't that cause a lot of civilian deaths?  Edit: also, we have a couple settlements very far apart from each other, and the jungle goes right up to the coast.  We'd have a lot of civilians not able to reach the portal before burning to death, right?
