Chuck your sheet up on the On Ship thread, since this game has at max about three matches left, I suggest you go for a Con focused build, it's easy, simple, and allows you to start helping instantly.
Or be a medic, we always need more of them, just suggestions, mind you, feel free to go for whatever you want, if you want clarification on items to buy or how to arrange your stats, go here.

He already joined, he means how to jump into actual roleplay, I think.  To which I would say, maybe have a short intro post describing your character's first experiences on the ship, exploring the sword... bumping into and talking to whoever you feel like, perhaps.
