Well, we did have ER movie 24-hour periods! Which is pretty decent as far as timezone compatibility is concerned. Too bad Piecewise has been too busy in the last... year or so.

Also, now I know how to picture battlesuits. To think of it, very HMRC-like behavior.

(Or maybe it's an assaultsuit/Heavy Robot Body? You know, with smaller 'cockpit' and actually capable of passing through doors.)

Really it was more problems with us getting continuously kicked off streaming cites because, well, copyright. If we could find a good way to do it, I could do it again.

Just dump movie files into dropbox or google drive. And we can all raise hell on IRC together. No authorities have to know about this! Just arrange for a fixed time to do this.

Hmm, but thats not really the same as us streaming a movie  and watching. Thats just irc where I provide a movie file to watch.  At least if I understand it right.

I think just sharing movies, and playing them at an assigned time, makes about as much sense as anything else.  The only real difference is that we can't select which movie to watch directly before watching it.

Also, it has notable advantages: It's convenient to share/rewatch movies afterward; I wanted to show some friends Sword of the Stranger, but was too lazy to look for a download myself.  It ensures we won't be interrupted; I had been enjoying the home invasion movie, despite its stupidity.  Lastly, people who couldn't join due to timezones can still easily watch the movies later, to know what people are talking about.

All that being said, I remember the selection last time being quite questionable.  I'm not entirely sure I'd want to join. >.>
