So, I hadn't actually read the recent updates in the mission threads, up until now.  I am absolutely amazed, because I honestly didn't believe it was possible.

No need to apologize, man.  M16 is going fine-ish, and plenty of people disappear way longer, in way worse situations.

It's actually a pretty good survival strategy, if something really bad's about to happen.  Not even battlesuit plate protects against danger as well as the GM forgetting you exist.

I've just realized how much of a nightmare Mission 17 must be for the soldiers, it's just *Shlllck**BOOF* and suddenly this group of highly trained idiots come in and wreck shit.
Sometimes it isn't even a group, just one dude mowing through massive groups.

Well, we did murder over a hundred enemy combatants in 1 turn, and apparently even shooting goddamn rockets in our face doesn't do a thing. So yes, probably not their finest hour.

But they seem to be more sensible now and holed up. Same end result, just takes more time and effort (and we might still suffer some casualties if people insist on running around on their own). Urban combat, ain't it fun (though I might just start to burn down buildings if this keeps up. Sucks for the civvies, but it'll take forever otherwise).

'Got tired of X' always sounds so ominous, doesn't it, especially when talking about a living creature because it implies that they have been 'Dealt with' which leaves a lot to the imagination, not to mention how it seems to imply that the thing that Y has grown tired of is mere dust in comparison to Y.
