That Steve wants to weaponize it goes without saying. Or even with saying, as he explicitly told you all to gather as much data on it as you can so we could study how it works.

Yup.  You are not fighting it because it'd be good for the planet, but because it could be useful as a weapon.  As such, while there may well be other forces involved, it will be dangerous in and of itself.

We'll see how it goes. It just all so suspiciously suspicious... An agent who was silent so long pipes up again, shortly after the HMRC revolts. He relates a story that temptingly includes a potential weapon of mass destruction for ARM to obtain. His handler/translator, who we were to meet, then mysteriously vanishes, and somehow, the people we are supposed to meet have already performed part of the task of catching this horribly deadly monster of myth, would we please just take the role of garbage disposal? Thanks, and goodbye, don't look too closely at the scapegoatpolitical rivalhost of the horribly deadly monster of myth.

We are in far more danger if the facts as presented thus far are true rather than if the opposite were the case. So I am freely accepting the version of events as given, as per standard protocol, since it can't hurt to assume whoever we're transporting is incredibly dangerous until proven otherwise.

Well, I'll also assume we're transporting something incredibly dangerous - it would be foolish to do otherwise - but it won't stop me from questioning the strange circumstances surrounding the mission.

Tinkerers and Heph guys have weird fetish for weapons. Not that I don't understand it, guns are quite fun to mess with, but can anyone come up with new aux systems; machines, programs and such? For example Maurice created that nice Remote Diagnosis program (btw mission 17 guys, remember to give him permission to use it on you. So far only Lyra, Bartolomew and Lars have given permission).

Good luck operating on an Avatar.  :P

Might order team to do it later on, when shooty parts begin.

Jim will never, ever give anyone permission to access any of his systems remotely.

I really should create some sort of searchable tag for people updating the wiki, so they can easily find posts or parts of posts where things need to be updated or added.
Something like bold red for subtractions, bold green for additions?
lose 2 shotgun ammo
gain 1 laser rifle and 1 spare battery

"Hey, is there something i can do to make this coat work against lasers?".
If that's what the "ablative armour plating" option for the longcoat is, buy it for 2 tokens.

I'm gonna look silly here but where are you getting this "Ablative armor" option from?
It's on the wiki: http://einsteinianroulette.wikia.com/wiki/Armory#Civic_Defender.27s_Longcoat
i actually have no idea what it is, but was going to ask about "maybe you know making it shiny or something" and saw that there was this option.

Anyone know where the "ablative armour plating" option for the longcoat came from and what it does?

Yttra appears from wherever she was hiding and starts wandering about the ship. She occasionally stops and stares at nothing, and at one point pushes on a wall for no apparent reason.
I bet she's looking for secret areas. There's bound to be a BFG or a Chainsaw somewhere around here.
Any minute now she'll find the secret portal to the bonus level.

Nice one with the character index :) all perfectly lined up in columns.

How about just inventing a funny word to consistently use as a search term, then combining that with the bolding and coloring?

Also, Pancaek mentioning rank on the on-ship thread gave me an idea. How about ARM has a system of four different ranks?

First would be generals - we already know who they are.

Then there's adepts - people who are trusted not to blow themselves up, and generally known to be competent at what they do. Sort of like Lars, Skylar, Maurice, Thaddeus, that sort of thing.

There's also newbies (or privates, or rookies if you prefer, or some other term) - people who are unknown quantities and haven't proven themselves in any particular way.

And finally, there's risks. People who hurt themselves or others routinely, but come along anyway for some reason. Overshot specialists probably go here.

Thoughts? Maybe there could be a rating based on certain qualities (exploration/public relations/general competence/etc.), or something of that nature? Not that it's necessary, it's just that it seems like if people are playing at being a military, there's probably some need for rank, if only for cosmetic purposes.

@yobbo: Thanks. Tell me if you want me to change anything else.

@Harry Baldman: I'd say 5 ranks (one between rookie and adept) with an optional name that determines their role. One of the reasons I put role in the wiki character templates. It was originally meant to show what the character was good at at a glance so that generals could quickly make decisions about people.

I'm personally all for ranks, but I think we'd need more than four. And the generals rank is basically filled to capacity already, so that would leave the rest of us with only 3 ranks. I'm volunteering for the commissar-equivalent role, should we ever actually use ranks, by the way.
