The advanced laser rifle and laser cannon Sean made and the piezoelectric shard rifle syvarris made. 9 weapons in total. Search the Hephaestus thread on details on how they work. One is called Testament the other Radugan. I think.

The Spektr VLW ("Spectrum" Variable Laser Weapon) and Raduga VHL ("Rainbow" Variable Heavy Laser) are higher-power, multi-setting lasers. The SS Testament is a miniaturized Piezoelectric Shard Launcher slash assault rifle.

Those prototypes should be in the wiki, otherwise it's pain to find relevant information.

And I don't think you ever declared either to me, but right now me and Radio are working on methods of managing Hephaestus and a mission pack is about to start, so I'll let it slide.

Also because the Spektr is actually pretty cool, even if you did mess up part of the armory description (Gamma can't get through multiple inches of lead without experiencing a massive reduction in intensity, a XASER certainly can't get through more than a few centimeters. Though it will burn through said lead shielding fairly quickly, I think).

Well, it'd be both burning a hole through the lead and trying to get through it as is, so a sufficiently strong and focused pulse could probably severely inconvenience someone behind three feet of lead. :P

But yeah, it was mostly colorful exaggeration. And speaking of colorful exaggeration,

I've gone through and locked older threads, updated their titles a bit to let new people know what they are a bit better, and have locked completed mission threads as well. Hopefully this should make things a bit more comprehensible.

HOLY

Ok, so I was reading the HMRC pantheon that Toaster put together, when things started falling into place in my brain. I'm not sure if I'm right, but if I am, then things just got very interesting.

Out of sheer coincidence, I was playing some IVAN, a fairly brutal roguelike.  I named a character piecewise.

The character, somehow, managed to survive having all his limbs removed, and successfully escaped the dungeon through rolling.

No, I have no idea what to do with him now.

HOLY

Ok, so I was reading the HMRC pantheon that Toaster put together, when things started falling into place in my brain. I'm not sure if I'm right, but if I am, then things just got very interesting.

This is still my favorite in-game connection:

“Vo-nos: God of Blades:Vo-nos the Cutter, Vo-nos of the Melee, Vo-nos the Silver Club.”

The image on the opposing page shows what looks like a man wearing a shining, silvery mask and a red robe. In one hand he holds a Gleaming, blood flecked club, in the other a large curved knife. Behind him looms a monstrous aura of  shadowy fangs, flesh, madly rolling eyes and convulsing limbs. The symbol at the bottom of the page is a sword.

“Vo-nos is the god of the melee, Patron of the blade and the cudgel, and fastest of the gods. Those who would join battle with knife or club or spear or sword or any weapon of close death fight and die with him at their side. Inscribe his mark upon your weapons and brand it across your soles to move as he does and bring effortless death to all who oppose you.”

You allow the goggles to continue focusing your strange new vision, the level of detail you can see slowly increasing, new layers coming into view. You begin being able to see the vague innards of the doctor's mask, as well as something else, even stranger. There appears to be some sort of...field or bubble around the doctor; it's a dark purple, thick and slowly vibrating, encompassing him very tightly like a second skin.

"May I ask what you're staring at?" The Doctor says as you continue to glare at him.'
You remove your goggles and wink at wink your bad eye at the doctor. In that moment of enhanced sight you see something; it's just a flash, a glimpse. A glimpse of dozens of eyes and fangs and twisted flesh, and countless skeletally thin arms reaching toward you. And then it's gone as you open your eye, banished back to whatever nether realm it came from.

"Oh, I'm not worried." The doctor says, walking away, "I've got eyes in the back of my head."

Yeah. And the fact Vo-nos is similar to Von Nost is yet another point in favor of that.

That one's pretty obvious, I think I'm just starting to see the pantheon in a different light. Less as the 'gods of the ERverse', with the obvious exception of Pathmas, but more as a chronicle of the 'old' HMRC? Not just because of the obvious iterations of the book, but the descriptions of some of the deities seem oddly character-like (Algis, for example), while others, as already noted, could correspond to gear and maybe even locations.

EDIT: But then again, it seems that others outside the HMRC use Pathmas' symbol. Interesting. Must consider this.

Per PW, each of the gods has a basis in reality (Ingram, God of Guns and Ingram Arms, who made ARES and many of the weapons we see; all the Medic gods are based on a triage system from the Red Moon Rebellion).

Some of the bigger gods we just haven't seen a basis for yet.  (that we know of)

While I want to say that Pathmas is an actual Deity in the ER-verse, considering the rebellion symbol on the Ice-9 mission, I think there may be more to it.

Did we ever find a gear manufacturer for Algis?

EDIT: Search says no.
