So whats the plan to deal with the guard? Let him get all the way back, then try and attack? Or what?
I thought about letting him get back and hopefully get permission for us to dick around. If we get permission and he goes away, then I'll screw with the camera to have it keep displaying a loop so that everyone (minus lookout) can go to the sixth floor. We lure at one of the men our way (asking for help or asking to talk to them about something) and then take him by surprise (with tranq guns given to both Lars and Thomas, it'd be hard to miss). We could then have Lars make the second one leave (since a strong suggestion would be easier than outright turning the guy into a mind-puppet). Alternatively, we have Lars mind-control the first one and then use him to draw the remaining one to us, then we knock the second one out.
The worst part is that a plan that relies on tunneling through the ceiling/walls to get to the mark's room keeps nagging me, but the mental assessment of pros and cons weighs towards the cons. It'd not only be harder, but we'd have a chance to be busted even before any kind of combat starts thanks to any noise produced by failed or even successful attempts.
Edit:
"Really? The helmet does nothing to protect oneself
In fact, the helmet is probably the only part of the MkI suit that doesn't offer protection at the tissue level. There's at least one documented case of a stray gauss round shot ricocheting off it. I would keep it on if I was you.
EditEdit: Oh damn. I just hope Mission 13 doesn't turn out to be a disaster or we'll have a trifecta of raging incompetence or bad luck to speak of. And Renen should be fine as long as he doesn't expose himself too much - meaning he should either be out of sight or moving so fast he's barely a blur. If he gets body-controlled (mind-control may not be too much of a problem judging by the kind of thing his brain went through) then it is really game over since that body of his seems able to match an Arbiter of Peace's.
