You hide, not very well, but they probably won't see you instantly. A trio walks in, one guy and two girls. The guy sees the blood. "Crap. Something tells me Rob's not exactly OK." The younger girl breaks down and starts crying, while the guy pulls out a switchblade. Right then, you attack, biting the older girl in the neck, and she goes down instantly. "STEPHANIE!" Switchblade guy turns toward you, grazing your arm. You would be intrigued by the wound not bleeding, if you weren't fighting for your (un)life. Your next lunge doesn't come anywhere close to hitting switchblade guy, but he responds by almost burying his knife in a wall. As he trys to pull it out, you grab his arm. He punches you in the face to get you off, but not before you get a bite in. He wavers, and falls, dead. At almost that exact moment, the sobbing slows, and eventually stops. "You killed him. You b**ch, you KILLED ROB. You are going to pay!" The girl stands up, grabbing the chair leg "Rob" had tried to fend you off with, and snapping it in half. "Let's dance."

Heroes are characters that answer the call, and become something more. Whether it's because of something happened to a loved one, or another reason, heroes have more of a will to live then normal survivors.

Gman, you would have to walk past them wearing Rob's clothes. Anyway, first Semi-Hero. Slight bonus to not dying instantly, plus whatever abilities they have.

Well I guess our comrades are as slow and stupid as we were, so let them hopefully do their thing of shambling towards her while we use our slightly higher intelligence to take Switchblade's switchblade, then throw it at her and attack while she deflects or dodges.

Yeah, I thought about it for a bit, and decided to change the way horde size works. So you have two comrades, and I apologize for any confusion.

[Playergamer]

Your two comrades spot crazy girl and start shambling, as you pick up the switchblade. Unfortunately, you fumble it in your necrotic fingers, letting crazy get the first strike. She stabs through switchblade's stomach, sticking the stick in the dirt behind him, before managing to stumble "Stephanie" with a leg sweep. You finally get your fingers to the knife, and throw it, comically embedding it in the wall a foot to her right.

"Missed me!"

She wasn't very distracted by the throw, but you still march forward bravely with the plan. The follow up bite was so poorly aimed, she barely had to move to dodge it. Switchblade struggles to get free, but the stick is firmly stuck in the ground, going through him. "Stephanie" gets behind crazy, lunging at her neck, but she is stopped suddenly, as Crazy pushes her away with the free hand. You try to take advantage of the situation, biting the arm holding the stick. Crazy manages to mostly ignore the pain, turning back around to face you. You realize you can feel pain after being punched in the jaw as retaliation, before Switchblade sneaks up on Crazy, having broken the stick right around when you bit her. He bites her on the neck, and she finally falls, dying, to the ground.

"I will kill you. I don't know how, but I will. I will come back from wherever people go when they die, and kill you."

 After she bleeds out, Switchblade and "Stephanie" get ready to devour the corpse. If you want, you can keep them from eating her, and let her reanimate.

Crazy rolled decently, you rolled poorly, you were lucky she had a horrible weapon blah blah blah. "Stephanie"'s lunge was actually a kill, but heroes all have some level in Twist Fate, so she managed to survive that thanks to a fairly lucky roll.

Edit:Should let the others eat a little some time soon though, not sure how smart we want them, but being able to move faster than a shuffle would be for the best.

You devour the corpse, and feel more... powerful. (Rage Unlocked!) Switchblade and "Stephanie" moan about hunger, and how they want something to eat too, but otherwise you're all good. Where to next?
