Trader of Favors, a Pactbinder.
Physical traits
Weary and Weak My power has been drained from me entirely, it will take time for my significantly weaker body to adjust to the shock.
Bleary Eyed My demon eyes have been taken from me, the mortal one's left in their place will take time to get used to.
Various Minor Injuries These things take a toll on me for now, but they will fade in time, especially if i can find some source of power to feed on...
Skills
Mercantilism (+5) Without skill in bargaining a pact-binder would be next to useless at his trade. My dealings with folks all over the multiverse give me a strong understanding of basic economics of all sorts.
Power Brokering (+5) I am quite skilled in the subtle magic of transferring and consuming power, and in reaping the maximum Spritual benefit from my dealings with mortals
Clerical Skill (+5) I know how to keep careful records and write contracts without loopholes. I'm also handy at digging through information quickly and effectively.

Perquisites
Linguist I've learned many languages across the span of many worlds. While i havn't retained all of those languages i did make sure to protect the knack i have picked up for learning them quickly.
Debt Metabolist Not all demons possess the power to manipulate debt by their own power and use it to their own ends, i do.
Metaphysical Hoard
Mortal Suffering (0.3)
The possibilities race through your mind. The ways this could fall apart for you are few. The only things you need to count on are four days of your survival, and four days of your ally surviving. On success, you will have much needed assets.
I agree to your bargain. Vilstak laughs, and shakes your hand. "
Very good, neither of us will regret this arrangement, now i have a few things for you. From a satchel at his side he binds together a bundle of wood and oil soaked rags into a crude torch, and brings it into the heat of the nearby portal. The rags catch fire, and he hands the torch to you. Then, with a casual flick of his wrist he tosses a smidgen of human suffering in your direction for you to gain.

Sadly, your attempt to absorb this energy is only partially successful, and roughly two thirds of the scant power is left to hang in the hair and sink into the stone.
Vilstak smirks, and departs, wordlessly, leaving you alone again upon the staircase.
Thankfully, you can now see. Further up the stairs you see what appears to be a wooden panel, easy enough to move aside and walk through. You take a look at the desk beside you, and see that it is indeed covered in now mostly ruined and inkstained papers. It has two drawers, and a small cupboard is affixed to the wall just above it.
Curiously, you now see that opposite of the desk is a crudely bricked off archway.
