I was not touching the floor.

I can fly, after all.

As I understood it, the entire building turned into chickens.

[snip]
Mage Secretary: Your loss, man. I'm afraid more information than that is considered trade secrets. We're not at liberty to say anything.
"Fair enough. Can you tell me if I can give it back to you early?"
"Did I accidentally trigger Invisibility again? It does not appear so. Can I get an answer?"
"Obviously. You won't get the stipend, though."
"I would expect nothing more. I'll take one."
You receive a violet crystal. It floats in your hand.
"An Ioun Stone, if I am not mistaken. Lets see what this one does." He snags it out of the air, and closes his hand for a second, then releases his grip.
As you touch the crystal, you feel the uneasy sense of teleportation. You find yourself in a very strange place. Everything is on fire. You take 13 damage.
Is that taking DR into account? Which is 10/CI and 5 v. fire.

"HOLY AND UNHOLY MOTHER OF GODS THATS FUCKING HOT." Protection from Energy (Fire).

With the burning sensation dulled, he looks around, attempting to discern where he is.
No, that's raw fire damage, so -8 HP.

I was not touching the floor.

I can fly, after all.
As I understood it, the entire building turned into chickens.
Not just the entire building. The entire plane. Experimental items are rather unpredictable and dangerous if you're not careful with them.

You didn't specify yourself as flying, so by default you would have been standing around.

So the entire material plane now consists of chickens?

Well then. Those wizards were dumbasses. And now they're chickens, too.

Respawn.

Well... we defeated the centaur!

Farrago looks around, attempting to discern his location, while cross-referencing his observations with his knowledge of the planes.
Taking a 10 on Knowledge (Planes) gives 35.

You find yourself on the Elemental Plane of Fire, about six hours northwest of the City of Brass. There should be a natural rift in the planar boundaries about two hours due north. A concentrated pocket of planar energy should pass through the area in around three hours.

Atune Form. I'm assuming that Farrago saw the chicken catastrophe, so he heads for the City of Brass, but not before activating Invisibility and taking a 20 on Search to try and find the crystal (27), while being VERY CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH IT.

You must go to the OOC Thread. There you may learn the secrets of being a waitlister/shoehorned into the campaign later.

The crystal is floating in your hand. You got out before the chickening, and therefore are both alive and not aware of it.

No, I just hadn't gotten around to respawning the material plane yet.

Luckily, the gods keep several backup clones of the planes just in case some foolish mortal destroys them. You all respawn at the castle.

You receive a silver anklet inscribed with the letter V.

(If that took one of his lives even though it was a backup, wouldn't there be no npcs because they don't have 6 lives? :P))
