A) Yes, it's too hard and it's putting me off.
B) It's allright as it is.
C) Harder~
1) Considering they're shorter and have smaller cast - yes.
2) I don't see a reason why.

Lol, so their are 12 more enemies and pretty much everyone is one hit from KO or actually KO. Like me.

By my calcs we also have five more vulneraries, after Im healed...again.

Are we even expected to win this stupid battle?

I think Hasp may have just wanted to enjoy some murder.

But yeah, you're probably supposed to go for the win here. FEF1 pulled out of some pretty tight spaces on occasion.

Hmmmm.  Say, Haspen, purely hypothetically, if a Rescued player (that is, one being actively carried) moves, can they be revitalized by a dance?  If they don't move (or move and are revitalized while being carried, assuming the first question is answered in the affirmative) and then are set down by the person carrying them, can they still move on the turn in question?

A person can only be revitalized if they're standing 'on their own'. So KO'd/Carried peeps cannot be targeted.
OK, thanks.  So much for that plan.  I thought they could have a bit of fun with the fact that "Taking" a Rescued character doesn't cost an action to create a human daisy-chain, but with 11 tiles between the bulk of the party (including the Dancer) and Sophia, that's probably not viable without also moving the character to be daisychained. ^_^

Half the team KO'd including most of the healers, the front line in complete tatters, an enemy melee boss character in amongst the squishy casters with another boss character moving up, an NPC needing rescue halfway across the map...good times all around.  But if Haspen's planned even for the death of the lord you're supposed to protect, he's probably got a contingency set up for failing to save Sophia, so a single failure probably won't be the end of the game. ^_^

I wonder if we can reach her in time. Does she die this turn if no one reaches her(and noone will)?

Also, if you could Vulnerary Tamil, please, Hix, that'd be great. That way I can really hurt Agent D(and without fear of reprisal; fuck your spies), and revitalizing Tamil and [other person, probably Coleen or Hix] will let us finish off these last two enemies. Then William and Arthur can move up and maybe take some blows for us.

Also, darkpaladin, if we do by some miracle get to reach her, just use a vulnerary. Give her three more turns, at the least.

EDIT: Also, if I could get reinvigorated, that'd be great. I don't want to stay in Axeman G's range.

Don't see why Hix is blocking you from hitting Agent D, but it'll keep combatants up so why not.

Hmm. What a pickle. Darkpaladin can either go to 15,3, but that will leave him in range of that mage whom, with elfire, will deal 15 damage to him if it hits. Not to mention the axeman and spy (though the Spy can only deal 2 damage a hit, not too much to worry about). If he uses a vulnerary he can take a single hit from the mage, but can't keep under the assault from the other two.

Alternatively, he can go to 16,2 and only have to deal with the axeman, or to 17,1 and not deal with anyone at all. But in that case he won't be able to reach Sophie on the off-chance we have one more turn to save her.

EDIT: Rolep, 7,14 is both a hill and occupied by Agent C
EDIEDIT: Aaand I should take the time to look at the HP spoiler more often. 7,14's still a hill, though.

Hmmm, it'll take some shenanigans to manage it since the closest person has 5 move and 11 tiles to cover (which means that an ordinary all-in strategy will still be one tile short, leaving aside the two enemies blocking the path, and not to mention the fact that it would leave you completely strung out for the enemy to demolish at will).  Rescue shenanigans were what I was thinking since you can buy one or two tiles that way (that is, just enough), but impractical in the present context because the only person who can rescue and move again is halfway across the map, and you'd need everyone to commit their orders to it this turn.  Basically, it might be possible to save Sophia, but it's not worth dying for.

That said, as much as I love shenanigans, I'm afraid I'm not seeing any that would manage it, even if no one had moved yet.  I could get Valeria to within 4 range of O'Conner, but that last two-tile difference to get him in range of a boost is a bit too much.  If the positioning were slightly different, if the two cliffs north of Will weren't there, if there were another PC with the main group, or if Will was a PC (combining the first and last), it might just barely be possible, albeit at significant risk to the people left on the far end of the stick, but as it is, I'm not seeing it.  If if if, and if wishes were horses, everyone'd eat steak.  ^_^

If the current version of cast from memory is no good, how about making it an ability that allows a tome to be used without consuming quality at the cost of doubling its weight for the duration of any battle I use the ability in?

Tome and weight never is a good math. If you double  the weight of a tome, everything and everyone will double you, just saying.

Do you ever think it was unfair to present the Matilda Gold Challenge to a party full of newer players to FEF like this on their first mission :p
