Interesting to see how these patterns have evolved over my lifetime.

Would be curious to know how many who identified as bisexual actually have sex who people of both genders. I recall a conversation once in which a teenager told me he was bisexual, and I asked him when he had sex with guys whether he preferred to be on the giving or receiving end of it. He didn't understand what I meant. So I explained it to him. He was thoroughly squicked out because apparently though he claimed to be bisexual, the thought of actually having sex with a guy completely disgusted him.

My best guess is that he had no idea what he was talking about, hadn't really thought about it, and was just claiming to be bisexual because it was the in thing to do.

Seriously?  I'm surprised anyone claiming to be bisexual wouldn't know the ins and outs (har har) of sex with either men or women given the easy availability of online porn.

Yea, it is a pretty easy thing for people to claim if they want to feel special. And really, can you blame people? If you don't qualify for some minority these days you are assumed to be a bad person by default.

Anyway, yes, have had, and enjoyed, sex with both genders.

There's more than one way to have sex, and it doesn't always have to involve the kind of sex you're thinking of.

Well, if a dudes old enough to know he's comfortable with banging both dudes and chicks.He's probably old enough to use context clues to know what "giving" and "receiving" means. And maybe my sexual imagination is limited here, but I can't fathom much two dudes could do together that could be considered "mutual". This line of discussions probably a thin line as is, and I'm not sure how explicit I can get here.

Honestly it seems that for both involved the amount of joy you are going to get out of it depends very much on how much preparation you put in. I really feel uncomfortable going into too much detail, but it isn't on the quick and easy list.
