Within your home of flesh, you twist the mind of mortal toward evil. This job, is the lowest of the low, but the most important. Without it, hell could never match heaven and nothing could protect you from those holier-than-thou bastards. But while you're here, you can't make deals back home, can't raise your rank and will remain at the bottom. Not to mention you have to be in contact with the mortal, you see their live and become...attach. And then you watch they descent in evil. It seem even beings made from pure hate have some sympathies. You suppose it like those rat-catchers who get pet rats. Great you're using human things to explain something to yourself.
A large clang sounds. A quick check through your human shows it not from the outside. You feel back home with mounting worry. A lack of demonic energy tell you the worst has happened. The gates of hell are closes and you are outside. Your options are limited. Without a connection to hell, you will fade away. You could wait, but the gates of hell never close, every second closed is a second that a damned soul could be diverted to reincarnation. The decision to close them is not one taken lightly. You could devour souls, but while most of humanity think your kind is a mere myth, there are still groups more then willing to dust off their anti-demon stuff when word reaches them. Besides, you're too 'attached' to your current host to eat their soul, damn feeling.
Attached...attached, yes that may work. A little give and take. Of course the human would have to agree and human seem to view deals with the devil with the oddest reactions. It not like every deal is paid in souls.XXX
In this game you play as a demon-human pact duo with 5 others(E.G. 6 players). The demon is sustained by the human's soul(energy given freely is worth more) and the human gains power from the demon. Since the gates of hell are closed, if the human dies, demon goes byebye.

Blood Demon: All brawn, little brain, blood demons are the largest members of demon forces and is the poster child for most people view of demons. However the phase 'too dumb to fool' apply to them as many a cocky human or angel has found to their very quick ends. Their names tend toward the simple like Axe, Tree or Dog with the odd longer names popping up from time to time like Dying Wolf and Flying Sword.
Imps: The anti-thesis to blood demons, small and prefers slinging spells over swinging swords. They are the reason for idea of demons are lawyers due to overthinking things. Their names are the unpronounceable ones with not enough vowels like Wrdlbrmpfd or ones that include things that can't be correctly rendered with mortal languages like ♥♪!?.
Incubus/Succubus: Incorrectly named sex demons, foocubus are the demonic equivalent to genetically enhanced super soldiers made for assassinations. Because they are suited to spying and assassinations, both best done with the in-between the bedsheets approach, they get somewhat miffed with the idea that they steal souls by 'ploughing the bean field'. To bend in better, foocubi take biblical names(Raphael, Mary, Adam, etc) due their commonness among both humans and angels.
(Yes it is the warrior, mage, rogue set up and yes there are other demon types, but you not going to see many Archdemons or Broodmothers out corrupting.)
For the most part, pact-demons stay in the host's body and superimpose themselves into the host's vision if a face to face is needed. It is possible for the demon to manifest, but with the power needed to make and maintain a body and the fact the remaining power is halved, it useless for battle and better to use superimposing for face to face.
In pact hosts, it the human with the final say in actions while in possession hosts, it the demon. Demons and their hosts can sense other demons hosts on eye-contract, but can't tell if it a pact or possession unless they can see the pact mark.
You can replace demon(s) with angel(s) in this box and still be completely factual true.
Remember, ask questions if something not clear and 6 players. All characters are in the same city or surrounding rural land.
