Look for the first guardian. Challenge him to a fight.

By the way, normally, in an rpg, the amount of xp it takes to level up increases in part due to the increased amount of xp gained, which does not happen here. Also, the change of leveling from 3 to 4 is 1/216=less than 0.5%. In addition, the chance of leveling up is the same as the chance of dying.

Also, it's hard to see if more dice does anything other than decreasing the amount of chance.
