If you're ending this, I must know:

What would we have found in the chest?
Oh, that, I guess I owe that to you guys.
You would have found some money (obviously), a bow, and 2 of the soulstars.
One of the soulstars was Wwolin's, which was called the Looter's Delight, and it would have looked a lot like a bag O' slot, and when you looked at it, it would have a 2x2 inventory space. It was supposed to trick you, to make you guys rage at first, because whatever you put in it would disappear, to later be found out to have been teleported to storage, even though you hadn't found that yet.
The second was the Elemental Roulette, which was used to both randomize elements, and to focus your Wild Storm so you could actually have control over which element was fired.
In the event that you tried to use Second Shift, it would fail, since the soulstars were still only first level.
Dave the Colorless wouldn't get his until later, but it would give him the ability to control gravity.

The bow was also meant to cause rage at first, as it would require ARW's, meant to look like arrows, but stands for Ammo for Ranged Weaponry, which would look like total BS at first since all you have is HP and MP. You'd have to find Arrows, which would be worth a certain amount of ARW's.
Actually, Person's Technowizard was meant to use ARW's as his main class stat, giving him MP for his abilities, and his own personal supply of ARW's for his weapons.

Other characters I had already planned out included Derm's character, who's soulstar would let his destroy almost any inorganic object, and would Second Shift into a rocket launcher, and TCM's character, who would have his Rubric make unarmed attacks cause knockback.

Neat.

A shame about the game, but oh well. Was interesting while it lasted.

Ah, well. This was fun, and those soul star ideas sound hilarious. I would disagree about creativity (Warrens isn't creative), but it's hard to love something when you're primarily borrowing. The rewards of GMing are greatest when you're creating something awesome that you share with others but still call your own.

In my opinion, Warrens is very creative, even if it's inspired by (or blatantly ripping off) a dozen different sources.
Everything from wisps to Hellyfish, the very concept of soulstars and Illborn, is all amazing to me, and I don't think I could have done it justice.

Also, that part I mentioned earlier, where I had thought of something that could tie into the main game, I was going to go have the characters put up anti-Oric posters, the same ones that Ciro is supposed to be taking down.

Wait.
TWoOtA borrows things from other sources.
We must now view the entire internet, watch every movie and TV show, and read every book.
In doing so, we will be able to guess the plot and mechanics ahead of time.

Honestly, you want to know the main thing that was going through my head when I figured out the secret to the Illborn?

I was thinking of Hollows from the Bleach anime, and just starting thinking of modifications to it.

Or just read all of TV Tropes.

Ok, guys, I'm sorry to say this, but I'm ending this game.
I've put my reasoning for this in this post on The Derail Thread.
I hope you guys understand.
Burn the GM for heresy against the thread!

Well, sorry to see this game go, but I understand fully.
Here's hoping you start up a game that you feel a bit more inspired about sometime, Cheese.
And if you do, I'll certainly be there at some point, whining about being stuck on the waitlist. :v

Since it's over, what abilities would Francis have received?

I was actually going to wait until Wwolin tried inventing some on his own, and winging it from there.

Anything else planned out? We want your secrets...

I vaguely remember thinking of some sub-plot where another character who wasn't a part of the party had the ability to use other people's soulstars, but I couldn't think of how to incorporate it properly.

I think I may have actually used the idea of your character, for that.

Which characters already had their abilities planned out? What would their abilities have done?
*Loads up notepad document with character information*
javierpwn: Hadn't thought of anything in particular
Empiricist: would have had area-of-effect heals
Dorsidwarf: Nothing in particular
darkpaladin109: Abused the Guard stat heavily
IronyOwl: The soulstar shenanigan listed above
SealyStar: Bonus to lying and bartering, could make money from MP
sjm9876: Could reverse the effects of others abilities
draco1234: Nothing in particular, probably would have been more of a hated non-party character.
Urist Mc Dwarf: Not sure
Tomcost: Slog-like powers
Pancaek: Could inspire allies
TCM: Unarmed attacks would deal knockback, Soulstar would look like a wrestling championship belt.
Dermonster: Explained earlier
GreatWyrmGold: Nothing in particular
SomeStupidGuy: Some illusion powers
DarkArtemisFowl: not sure
blademan9999: By definition, not sure
Vgray: Not sure, was going to wait until FFS revealed the meaning of DarkLocking powers
Lukeinator: Could make items with random chances of effects, mostly healing

Oh yeah, did you notice that EP's Wild Storm didn't list that the bolts did damage through random elements?
That's because it was a part of his first tier passive ability, any spell he cast would have randomly rolled for fire, ice, or elec, even if it was something like grass knot.
