You know, nearly every time I see that phrase, either the game hasn't started and the game is open, or the game is plenty dead.

Yeah, we've got lots of spots open. Go ahead.

I thought I made it a bit more obvious that this was taking place in the solar system. Sorry about that.

I've mostly seen it at the start of a game. It's just more obvious/memorable when it comes when a game is dead.

Reposting, because it's easier.

Behold my glorious nation!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

As you can expect, I'll be doing a lot of roleplaying for this strange 'nation'.  My handicap is that I have to follow the Gentleman's Code, specifically the parts saying I can't lie, backstab, or generally do anything unsporting.  Good show, all!

Sir General Tottington has only 4 points to divide among the stats. He currently has 10. Also your descriptions could use some editing, but that's minor stuff.

EDIT: No province labelled as M2 exists. Did you mean Ma2, Me2 or something else entirely?

It's also silly, even for a super robot game.

I was under the impression that he had a default of 2 in all points.  Apologies, I suppose he has 2 in precision and 0 in everything else.

As for silliness...  Well... apologies, I suppose.  What precisely did you find aggravating?

EDIT:  Also, I meant V2.  The V's on the picture looked like M's.  Sorry.  Feel free to reject my proposal if it irks you too much.  Editing now.  I'll put all points in to Precision.

You have four points to spend, so what are you going to put the extra two points into? And I still have no idea which province you mean by M2.

EDIT: I see your edits. Yeah, sorry about the V thing. I caught it a bit too late to do much about it.

Mostly the picture and the idea of "This is a group united entirely by being polite, who somehow got a warship and then a major colony." Also the fact that "polite" is being comflated with "Victorian" from the looks of it.

What's wrong with a group having strange, ridiculous, inconsistent standards that have been thought up on a whim without any real effort or strenuous fixing before posting?
...Oh.  Right.

Well, I'll change the wording and errors.  As for the group being silly...  I wouldn't want to ruin the game for everyone else.  I'll change it, especially if more people hate it.
...What's with the dislike for space steampunk...

EDIT:  USEK, that's fine.  I probably should have looked closer.

I think it's fine as long as you don't act annoyingly over-the-top. A little flavour never hurt anyone. Besides, most of the seriousness is going to come when the Political Blocs form and start fighting each other (which is the best part of any forum game, in my opinion. I honestly can't wait for it).

Edited a bit.  I won't, I only plan to be more honourable than the rest of you.  I expect you'll be backstabbing each other and building up complex plans from the start.  I, meanwhile, will be free to disregard all of that and do what I think is right, free of frets about backstabbing people before they backstab me.

The new backstory seems better. Less...absurdist. Although I question the settling of Venus...but that's on the GM's head, not mine.

It's a game about giant robots. Settling Venus is probably one of the least fantastical things. Besides, all of the other provinces on Venus are settled anyways. Just not by eccentric inventors.
