Paranoia XP- LESS URGENT NEED FOR TROUBLESHOOTERS. HOORAY.
« on: December 02, 2013, 05:15:11 pm »

Welcome, new Troubleshooters! Thank you for joining the fight to keep the Computer safe from Traitors! Your clearance level has now been raised to RED. If you are not familiar with the duties of a Troubleshooter, the Computer thanks you for conforming to security regulations. Only Traitors break security regulations. Your new clearance level qualifies you to read the first section part of the Paranoia XP Handbook. Reading parts of higher clearance levels is punishable by summary execution. The second section has clearance Ultraviolet. If you are discovered harboring knowledge of the second section of the book, you will be summarily executed. The Computer will be accepting [X] players. You and [X-1] friends will be embarking on a quest to save Alpha Complex. Additionally, you will be provided a basic color guide of security levels for easy understanding. Remember, the color levels you do not have access to are themselves classified portions of this guide, so do not look at those portions of the guide.

Spoiler: Color Guide (click to show/hide)

After reading the first portion of the guide, complete a Troubleshooter Application Form and submit it to your Game Master. The Game Master, in his infinite wisdom, will allow players to submit their own character sheets. Remember: The Computer is your friend. The Game Master serves the Computer. Therefore, the Game Master is your friend. The Game Master will be playing a Straight Game.

This game was brought to you by tahujdt. You may throw stones at him before your soul is horribly murdered for the personal and sadistic glee of the Game Master.

Player List:

REVISED AS PER DIRECTIVE 220.6.3.5.721.51.52..6.

PtW. I'd like to play, but I'm a bit too busy to take part.

This humble troubleshooter asks the great Friend Computer for a link to the relevant details so that the may do his duty and help purge the communist mutant threat.

The Troubleshooter Application Form is in the back of the Handbook. A copy is reproduced below:

[CLASSIFIED]

Please note that all character creation decisions are to be shared only with the Game Master. Failure to do so is treason.

Pointing out the number of silly things that are treasonous is also treason.

This system is like Warhammer 40k. It's comedic and nonserious from the outside, but once you actually get into it it's SERIOUS BUSINESS -_-.

Correct. You get one Perversity point.

Why? I'm afraid that's classified.

This poor individual is unable to partake, but in the spirit of this game, humbly wishes to report to Friend Computer that other posters are using text that may appears in colors above their security clearance when using certain forum themes.  Though I never was able to actually play before, I learned about the game from the best real-life game opening I've ever heard: Paranoia Game Master brings a bowl of regular chocolate M&Ms before the game starts for the players.  Hilarity ensues.

The Computer has assigned the standard theme to the Forum Games and Roleplaying subforum. Use of other forum themes is treason. Please report for termination, commie.

The Darkling style utilizes a default background colour suitable for all classification levels, from Infrared on up.  Your admission of your use of the standard theme's Ultraviolet backgrounds has confirmed your treasonous behaviour.
