Promptly goes to sleep, leaving his faceplate to guard his rest.

Alexander dreads what sleep might bring about and decides to delay it for a bit.

"I think I'll go exploring a bit. Nadarr, could you give me the hook? I saw an opening back in cavern after the shadow wall. There might be something there."

After and if Nadarr gives it, I go back to the place after the shadow wall where there was an opening.

As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

Nadarr does not answer Alexander, and it soon becomes apparent to him that Nadarr is fast asleep.

Alexander stands in silence for a moment and then goes to the faceplate.

"Wake him up or I will."

If the faceplate does nothing, then go and annoy him a bit until he wakes up with my boot.

"Hey, I'll go explore a bit. I could use the grappling hook."

He catches you just before you pass out. The faceplate doesn't do much because you're still awake.

You and Weston take first watch. ((Until Mr. Suicide here is done, you won't really see anything but him harassing a dragonborn))

Nadarr, disturbed from his rest, grunts in an annoyed fashion and angrily tosses the hook at Alexander's feet.

Here. Take it. Now leave me to sleep in peace.

Alexander finally takes the hook and goes back to the cavern where we defeated the beast and goes through the shadow wall. Afterwards with careful footing and putting a rope on the hook, he throws the grappling hook in the opening and sees if he can climb up.

With enough determination, you manage to climb up. It takes a long time however... You reach the top and find the way back to the tomb, but the amount of time and effort to do so was not worth the time and effort, especially now that you're alone. Nothing happens as you climb up and nothing happens when you reach the top. There are stairs descending where the barrier is, but that requires getting back down

Meanwhile...
Weston and Cromwell stand guard over the makeshift camp in the tunnel, making sure to keep both ends protected. By the time the next watch (Thoradin and Nadarr) come around, Alexander is still missing

Using Stealth, make my way back to the place with the statues and do a perception check for anything that might have been changed.

(CRIT) you make your way back to the statue rooms. Nothing has changed in them whatsoever.

Alexander stays for a bit, touching the statues and talking to himself quietly.

"What I didn't tell them was the story of your struggles... so similar to mine."

Tears begin to form and fall off of Alexander's face but his throat makes no sound and his face doesn't change from how it was beforehand.

He kneels at the first statue with the sword.

"Sword Enthusiast. Savior, hero and avenger."

At the second with the spear.

"Darkfriend. Destroyer of the Divine."

And finally at the one with the pickaxe.

"The First. The Hermit."

A few more minutes later of staying in the silence, he quietly makes his way back to the party.

((Metagaming bastard...))

You return to the party. You make it back in time for the last watch, which normally you would've taken, but Isbat has taken your spot and is now working it with Karl. You pass out.

Karl and Isbat keep an eye out. They then hear roaring in the depths. Seconds pass. Minutes. And then what feels like hours, and silence. Just when you think its over, you hear the roar again, but much farthur down. You give Alexander and the others a little more time ((so apiks doesn't complain about not getting his daily powers back)) and then pack up.

Karl summons Siga once everyone is awake and on their feet again, and has the dog sniff at the entrances to the tunnels and the unexplored cave nearby.
