Karl gasps for breath and takes an involuntary step back as the greataxe hammers straight through his pauldron into his shoulder. The berserker's grin is interrupted by a surprised look as he suddenly flies screaming into the air, only to land with an ominious crunch seconds later. The arrow that Thyra plants in his eye was almost an afterthought.

"Alright, that's not something I've seen before." Karl remarks, nursing his shoulder.

You hurl a chaos bolt and the moron who's awake! (CRIT) ((what is with these dice recently!?)) Your power grows intense and you unleash your chaos bolt with a surge of energy that makes you feel certain its going to hurt them. You push him back a square and he falls down prone after yelping from taking (10+7+6) damage! Ba5 is now bloodied! The chaos bolt bounces to the mage! (19+6) you hit, dealing (4) damage! The mage is now bloodied.

Nadarr begins his turn!

Nadarr looks down on this thing below him. Pretending to be a proper wizard. He would show him...yes, he would. Gathering the power learned, he prepares to release death, destruction...and fire. Burning tongues of searing flame that would sear flesh from bone, kill with ease. He grins, but if any were to have looked at him, they would have called it a snarl....

but....

The forest would burn. His colleagues likely be hurt...or killed. He couldn't stick that again. Not after Aurel. With low growl, he manipulates the pent energy in his hands, weakening it to a basic spell, one first learned by lowly apprentices. But it would do. Releasing the force, he sends Erupting Flare towards his foe...

((Heh, wonder if the town pays more for prisoners then for heads. It won't stop us from looting all their valuables, though... or at least making sure to get all their weapons well away from them.

((...)) (CRIT) You launch your spell from your hands as searing fire launches out of it and burns the enemy! He takes (10+4+5) damage! He drops dead. ((I swear, I need to reroll some of these next time... 4 crits in a row is ridiculous...))

The encounter ends with 2 dead guys and 6 sleepy heads. Everyone gains 200xp! Weston levels up! ((I threw in some bonus xp for the well timed sleep spell that kept most of them alive. Also, PM me your encounter power choice Sirus)) Symon feels shifting under his feet as the man he's standing on awakes. He doesn't look happy with you standing on him, but his grunting through the cloth in his mouth makes him seem more rabid then he should be. Thyra grabs some of the rope from her bag and starts tying up the sleeping bandits and stripping them of their weapons. She says to gag them so they don't start yelling for help
