Jee wilikers, I think Highmax is near invulnerable, must have been dunked in the river styx like achilles was.
Just make sure he wears a boot.

1 - Is there any way I can switch spots with Aurel? If he's stuck where he is, those four odd enemies that can hit him will coup de grace him.
2 - Am I allowed to use Divine Mettle on Aurel to give him a second chance to wake up?

Now, contingency time:
If I can move Aurel and I cannot use Divine Mettle on him->
 Move Action: Switch places with Aurel
 Minor Action: Divine Challenge on KH2
 Standard Action: Holy Strike on KH2
 Action Point: Shielding Smite on KH2 (if not dead. If dead, on KA1, bonus to go to Weston.)

If I can move Aurel and I CAN use Divine Mettle on him ->
 Move Action: Switch places with Aurel
 Minor Action: Divine Mettle on Aurel
 Standard Action: Holy Strike on KH2
 Action Point: Shielding Smite on KH2 (if not dead. If dead, on KA1, bonus to go to Weston.)

1 - Your best bet is to bull rush him, you cannot swap positions
2 - You can, but if he saves from the slow, hes stays awake. Otherwise, you can do that. He is awake

I'll let you change your options with that knowledge if its fine by you. Otherwise, its option #3))

Aurel's on a horse, right, given that his token is taking two spaces? This is a shame. If he was prone, I could just stand over him.

Given his fumble was supposed to knock him out for the whole fight, I'm going to give Aurel another chance to wake up.

I'll go with:

 Move Action: Jump off horse to the square below KH2
 Minor Action: Divine Mettle on Aurel
 Standard Action: Shielding Smite on KH2, bonus to go to Weston
 Action Point: Lay on Hands on Aurel))

Karl swings his leg over his horse's shoulder and with a roar throws himself at one of the beasts surrounded Aurel. He can almost feel his Goddess's cold gaze as the beasts fighting them die. "Wake up, Aurel! Fight for the Goddess!" he roars, divine energy enveloping his sword as he brings it down hard.

I haven't fallen asleep yet. I have a save roll at the end of my turn. The Fumble wasn't mine. It was the enemy that fumbled their save roll and a crit attack on me.

You leap off of your horse in platemail. No one questions how you can jump in all that, but you do it. You use divine mettle on Aurel. (12+3) Aurel saves from the slow and he is no longer tired. You swing your longsword at KH2! (FUMBLE) you drop your longsword and it lands under the Kruthik in front of you. You then lay on hands Aurel and prepare for the worst. Aurel regains his healing surge value (7)hp! You end your turn and take (2) damage.

KY2 attacks Aurel! (CRIT) Aurel takes a nasty blow, and even if he had any sense of sleep on him, its gone now as the claw bites deep into his side, completely nullifying Karl's lay on hands and then some. Aurel takes (11) damage as he lets out a grunt of pain! Aurel is now in critical condition at (7) hp! KY2 attempts to save! He fails the save, collapsing as sounds of the creature's heavy breathing is heard as it slumbers.

Symon begins his turn. The Kruthiks stand before you and Thyra, and as you glance to look at her, she looks panicked as she sings. Whatever she knows about these creatures, you can tell it makes her uneasy.

Major Action: Focused Fury KY3. If it hits, push KY4 a square to the right.

Wait to see the results of the above two actions before popping an Action Point.

Minor Action: Oath of Enmity KY3.
Major Action: Focused Fury KY3. If it hits, push KY4 a square to the right.

Wait to see the results of the above two actions before popping an Action Point.

You declare your oath of Emnity on KY3. You then swing your flail at the Kruthik! (9+9) You hit, dealing (3+6+5) Damage! You push KY4 to the side of the cart... Which puts a nice big hole in the canopy as it flies out of the cart and slams into the side of the cliff face. It takes (2) damage from the force. Neither one are bloodied.
