I'll look for a tall building in the area.  Church, watchtower, whatever is taller than its immediate surroundings.

(12+0) You look around and see a wall surrounding the guard's district with a watchtower in it. The gatehouse you came in from has some high ground, and the walls around the city equal, if not rise higher, then the ones covering the guard district. You see some temples off in the temple district from where you stand that give a height advantage. You have many options for a high lookout, but the city walls and the temples seem to be the highest points.

You walk out ashamed of yourself and find an alleyway alone from everyone. You go to cry in a corner when Nimue freaks out. You turn and are met with... ((no more actions until later))

Karl looks around as everyone else disappears into the crowds, leaving him, Nadarr, Symon and Grot on the wagon.

"Well, let's get rid of some equipment while we're here." Karl says. He eyes Grot critically, then pulls out the small chainmail and one of the non-magical short swords from the back.

"Wear these, goblin. They'll make you look like a less inviting target, at least. Symon, if you can stay with Grot and the wagon, I'll be back shortly."

((Use Streetwise to find an armor or leather merchant that would give a reasonable price for the small suits of leather armor, and a weapon merchant that would buy the non-magical short swords. If you want to catch me up with the others, use Diplomacy to try to negotiate the best price and sell the non-magical loot. Since we haven't identified the magical short sword yet, that should stay.))

Watches Karl enter the crowd, wondering why he ignored him completely and utterly. while he's at it, scan the crowd and buildings for anything suspicious. If any Magic shops stick out, leave the others and enter it, but not without a warning to Symon to stay alert, and a disgusted glance at the goblin

You search about and find a forge willing to take the short swords and armour off your hands. Assuming you go back, Grot brings the cart there when you come back and have them follow you. Grot seems to be struggling with the chainmail but can't seem to make it fit right. He does eventually get it however.

For the 13 short swords, the forge master offers (12+8) 93 gold for it, and the 15 leather armors for 281gold, 2silver and 5 copper. He seems more then happy to pay for it.

You walk off and (18+3) notice as you search for shops you are watched by someone in a familiar red cloak. Whether he knows you saw him or not, you don't know. You go on and find the store mentioned earlier that sells gear you can use. Once again, a bunch of stuff is recommended but nothing you can afford right now. You go to head back and you notice Symon and the cart are gone; perhaps Karl found a buyer quick enough.

The party, save for Symon and Karl is split up now

You find one in the center district after awhile. Lucky you! They just freshly baked some pie. You spend 3 copper pieces and eat your pie, which is most delicious.

Wrap up the sale and put the money with the leftover gold from the watchtower for later division. Return with Grot and Symon if he's staying with the cart to where everyone split up to make it easier for everyone to meet up again.

While he waits, Karl attempt to figure out if the short sword does more then light up before it's owner is turned into pate and bonemeal.
