"I'll do it."

"Excuse me, Symon, but I think that you would make a bit too much noise if you don't mind me saying. I don't know if you have some specific way to scout, but whilst I might not be a rogue, I do have a long history of being capable of remaining hidden... very long indeed. If you would like it, I could take up the scouting on ground, therefore allowing you to protect the wagon if another ambush shows up."

"Well, you know who I am and a general idea of what I can do. Mind introducing yourselves, my lords and..."
He suddenly glanced around, checking each of the party members.
"...ladies? No ladies? Oh well..."

"Tell me, Weston. Do you have the capability of looking through the eyes of your owl? I believe that would be handy in both scouting and peeking. By the way the name's Aurel. Just Aurel. That's all you need to know about me, really."

Makes a sly smile.

Weston couldn't help but applaud a little.

"Well well! Someone knows a little something about familiars, it seems. Yes, with a bit of concentration I can see through Nimue's eyes as though they were my own. Very impressive, sir Aurel."

Karl chuckles and shakes his head.

"Plate armor is not known for its stealth capabilities, so it's best if I stay with the wagon."

((On healing surges: That also works. I'll still have used one on Aurel at least, but that should let everyone get above 75% at least.))

Then it's settled. We shall head to the base, but subtly. Quietly. Aurel, you can go on the right of the path, Bouchart on the left and Nimue above. I propose that, when we discover the base, we leave the wagon some distance away to avoid making noise. We can go on foot with the scouts searching the way ahead for us.

The two party members and the familiar head off towards the hideout. Aurel appears to be stealthy that even his allies can't seem to know where he is (20+11 stealth). Bouchart makes it just fine. Not as stealthy as Aurel but still quiet enough (12+9 stealth). Aurel sees some goblins patrolling around an abandoned tower. From what he can see, the main doors are busted in, there is no cieling and there are some goblins inside. Two inside look familiar while one looks stronger and carries a spear and javelins (17+3). Bouchart sees the side of the tower and nothing else (2+0). The owl flying overhead sees the entire battlefield (20+0+2). He sees three goblins on patrol outside of it, followed by three stronger looking goblins inside with spears with some of those sword wielding goblins at the openings. There is also one goblin who carries a strange staff that is obviously really large for it. Judging by how the other larger goblins are talking to the one with the staff, the one with the staff must be the leader. The bird is obviously seen (not even going to put the DC) but the goblins ignore it, thinking it to be some wild animal.

Aurel once again moves one with the shadows, hardly making a sound (20+11). Bouchart also makes it out better then before (20+9). It takes about 10-20 minutes to get back, but you all return without being caught.

((Dayum dem crits))

Returns to the wagon and reports what he saw.

"We can take them out but it would require extreme stealth and some backing in case something goes off."

Weston reports what he saw through Nimue's eyes.

"Unfortunately I can't tell from here if the leader actually has magic abilities or if he just carries a staff around for show. Maybe once we get closer I can try something."

((Nimue is a she, by the way. Not a he :P ))

Okay, so how do we handle this? While we are gone, we have two choices in regards to the wagon. We can leave someone as a guard, or hide it in the underbrush. Either way, we need to protect it from...wanderers who see an advantage.

I believe Aurel and Bouchart, masters of creeping as they seem to be, should take care of the patrols, with the minimum noise, so as to leave those inside clueless. The rest of us will be waiting nearby, and when we regroup we can take the main base by surprise. The font door is even left open to welcome us! Of course, I am open to other ideas.

"Let's hide the wagon, I think we'll want everyone on hand to take this band quickly and safely."

"Once the shouting begins, I'll charge in and make for the leader. That will hopefully draw his attention and keep the other goblins focused on me. That will let Symon and Nadaar follow in my wake and hit them while they're distracted. Aurel and Winston can provide ranged support, and Bouchart can pick off the unwary."

((Is everyone agreeing with this? I may have to extend the map a little bit via auto CAD for your placements, but I can figure it out))

"Winston will have to work on the ranged side on his own. I am going to the flanks of the front lines. My ranged capabilities are limited even if they aren't that terrible."
