"That works, hehe.  Say, how long have you been here, anyway?  When'd the first of you lot wake up?  I've been asking around, but the info's a bit sparse..."

I woke up at sunrise along with Gold and Zan. Everyone else woke up throughout the day."

"Hmm...  And now there's just one more sleeper.  And he won't wake up, no matter what we try...?  Hope he wakes up soon, every pair of hands is needed..."

"Agreed. We'll have the butchery set up tomorrow, then we can cut up and later cook the meat over a fire. Then we can make a carpenters and I can get to work on making some sleeping cots, tables, chairs... really, anything with wood I can start working on. Especially support beams if we start expanding the cave."

"Oh. A fencing sword would work great actually. Thought you meant a broadsword or something similar."

"Still brittle. Don't go crossing blades with anyone that has access to metal. Or wooden swords, those are probably going to be tougher than yours, too."

"Nah, we could use more space down there for everything with the amount of people we have."

"I'm aware, never fear.  I meant to use it for training, and perhaps self-defense against animals and unarmored foes.  I think we'd all sleep easier with better equipment, though."

"True.  Locating all structures we can inside the cave would probably be wise- I understand the butcher's shop had to be built outside to ward off miasma, but we can always mine away that haematite to expand.  Which is iron ore, isn't it?  That should come in handy."

((Right.  So when you said 'meals' in the supply spoiler, did you mean food units or meals?  In other words, if we have 30 'meals' of salted beef, is that enough for 30 weeks of survival, or 15 days?  (at 2 meals a day)))

"We should work on the support beams first.  From what I saw of the vein, it is heading directly under this floor, and without support, the floor could collapse with how shallow the space would be."

"It's around 30 square meters down there, so we do have room, especially with a couple sleeping up here, but it could be expanded.  I can help with some of the mining after I set up the farm, if you would rather have me do that instead of fishing."

"Really?  I thought it was the edge of a larger group of hills, like 'the mountain' in the old DF versions.  So you're saying it just falls again on the other side?  I haven't actually been there myself, admittedly."
