Also, update, actually survived long enough to get a casting ticket.  Had a really active captain, which is something totally new and awesome to me.

Do the MMM thing. Top 10 players right now are from my MMM ship. You could end up on a really bad ship like GlyphGryph, but it's at least worth a shot.

I don't understand what just happened on my ship. The log says: "Terrence has removed the Camera. It couldn't have been of any further use." But there is still a camera installed in the room! Any ideas?

Edit: There was no camera reinstalled after that.

Hrm that's odd. Maybe a mush with nimble fingers reinstalled it in secret? I've no idea if it works like that, or what the point of secretly installing a camera would even be.

I kind of murdered Terrence a bit when I saw that in the log, since it was in a dorm with 3 people in it and I was right there, knife already in hand.
I was quite shocked to see he was human and a camera was still installed in the room (I can click on it). Nothing in the log that it was reinstalled. I don't get it.

If it was a mush that hung it back, all you have to do now is check who was in the room between after terrence removed it and when you saw it up there again. Hopefully a small list of suspects.

Come to think of it if it was a mush and it was on purpose, I suppose it was an interesting way to rouse suspicion on a human player. If that was the intention, the mush sure did fool you.

Why do so many Jin Su's have to be such jerks to other players?

Almost every single ship I've been on has had the Jin Su killed solely because he was a jerk to the other players.

Hm, not really. It was the human Terrence who was suspiciously removing the camera. If there's really a mush with nimble fingers who reinstalled the camera, all he did was to risk exposing his identity.

Edit: I only had one jerk Jin Su so far but plenty of non-talking, doing-random-things Jin Su.

Jin su is the glorious leader! It is his job to boss the crew around and get them to work. And if that fails, kick out the dissidents and execute them with a turret shell!

I've been playing him a bit lately, perhaps it's me you've seen? I made a habit of bolding key words and using short sentences.

Yeah, I just can't imagine Raluca of all people taking that tone. Would be different if it was Chao or Jerk Su ordering it.

Raluca is literally antisocial, and has a deep-set superiority complex to boot.

I find it totally in keeping with her character to claim an entire dorm for herself!

(Also, Raluca's on my ship usually get a dorm bed, but only the dorm bed in Janice's room and only if we're doing good on morale. Which we usually are - my "all sofas get built in Bravo Dorm" strategy is paying off in spades on my last couple ships, keeping up with morale is basically a non-issue when you're getting a whopping 48 morale a day from Bravo Dorm alone.)

Ah, but her bio says she's autistic. I've always viewed her more of an idiot savant who runs from people. But most people play her as someone with ASPD, even though I think her antisocial perk is just a short way of saying she loses morale when she's with people, rather than medical antisocial.

I suppose both are valid roleplays, and picking the ASPD path allows her to take control of the ship when needed
