In a world where flux stone does not exist...

Yeah, I've created a new world, and I'm looking for a site with flux, but it's not turning up with anything... It's the only criteria that is not set to N/A. It's not even letting m browse the search results because there are none. Is this a problem?

It's just a problem with the site finder, not flux. You'll find flux just about anywhere, oftentimes marble.

there can be another thing, if you set at world generation minerals to frequent, its maybe possible you wont get, for example, any deep metals, cause a other material take all spots, then you get like a broken world without needed goods.
dunno if this apply to fluxstone, the default setting should bring a lot flux.

Nope. The search tool is simply broken. I seem to recall what happens is that if a layer has both metal and flux, the search tool won't see the flux. One work around if you have dfhack is to search for everything you want (except flux) and then when you see a possible embark site you like, use 'prospect all' from within dfhack to see what's actually there. And trust me, you'll see 'marble' quite often in direct contradiction to the absolutely no mention of 'flux' on the search screen.

I seem to recall what happens is that if a layer has both metal and flux, the search tool won't see the flux.
Close - what's actually happening is that the it only reports flux if it's the last vein/cluster within a particular layer (if the layer doesn't contain any veins/clusters, then it checks the layer itself). See here for more information.
