"Oh? what'd you find? and why do you sound different?"
((for comparison:))
"W-w-we're just lost! We found this place and thought it would be ok!"
((now:))
"Oh, thank goodness. I was afraid that you got lost or something. Look, there's something important I need to talk to you about."
EDIT: no need to question something that was unintentional and not part of the story/game

((Yeah, it sounded somewhat weird to me, but I haven't really gotten totally acquainted with his character's tone. He's been gone for a while, so unfortunately I'm going to have to fumble around with his tone for a bit before I get it right.

Thank you for pointing it out though, I will try to match his tone better. I just can't leave his character sitting around anymore because there's still many story elements in play in the background, so I apologize if the tone doesn't sound right at all.))

"Well, that was interesting. Seems to be getting late. Gonna head to the pub, see what's going on there, got nothing else to do. Going to have fun with this night, at least I'm doing something other than having nightmares."

Head to the pub.

"Oh? what'd you find? and why do you sound different?"
Cromwell exchanges some looks between himself and his kitten and begins speaking in a slightly nervous, hurried tone.
"My kitty and I were talking with the.. fluffy white cat that Erin has," he starts. He shifts around uncomfortable and fumbles with his words a little. "The cat told me that tonight is.. t-the Night of the V-void. Apparently, this is some kinda event that happens when the fields of our dimension and some other dimension come too close together, and these weird monsters from our nightmares are able to cross over." He looks up into sky and you do the same. You notice that there is an ominous lack of stars, even though it hasn't been that long since sunset passed.
"The fluffy cat said that if we're asleep by the time night comes, we'll be fine. But if we're not, those monsters will hunt us down. He said that most peoples' minds are strong enough to survive the nights and pass it off as a nightmare, but.. there are some peope who.. die inside. They just lose the will to live." His kitten gives off a low meow and skirts around Cromwell nervously. Cromwell also appears to be very nervous at the same time.

"That's why I came to find you. We have to get back inside and try to slee. We can't defend ourselves from those things, and I don't want to have us die out here!

"No."
I slowly stand up, brush myself off, and then turn to finally face him, leaving my weapons in my pockets, my voice hard and flat.
"If that is your plan, you can either try to sleep here, or if the ground is too uncomfortable for you you can run back to the compound right now. but either way, I'm not going to pull up my blankets and hide under the covers."
I take a slow breath and soften my tone, realizing how harsh I sound right now.
"Don't worry, I'll be ok. I've been in more than my fair share of fights. And thank you for the warning. I understand the danger I'm putting myself in, but there's no reason to drag you into this too. You should go now, before it's too late for sleep to save you. Just... keep an eye on the good Doctor and his friend, will you? They may not be enemies, but they know far more than they're telling us."
...
"If I die, please tell my sisters I love them. Their names are Maryne and Ahrian. I don't know where they are now, but they'll come find me eventually, when this is all over and it's safe to be together again."

Cromwell looks around and tries to get words out, but can't think properly yet. After a few moments, he manages to begin talking again.
"B-but... why?! Why do you need to do this? His kitten lets out a small "meow" again and paces around, almost as anxious as Cromwell is himself.
"T-there's no point! We could just sleep and let this pass over! It's not like this happens every day, and it'll be safer to stay inside! Just... just trust me! We can come around later once we can protect ourselves, but it's too dangerous now!"
He stops himself before he talks again and relaxes, sighing. "I can see that I can't convince you otherwise. Just.. be safe, and don't get yourself in stupid situations, okay? M-maybe I can get some more information from the cat in the morning."

He slowly picks up his kitten, gives you one last look, and starts walking back towards the Kito Complex. Around you, a slow wind rustles the trees and gives the whole place a melancholy feel.

I take a slow, deep breath.
tonight's going to be another one of those nights isn't it.
then draw my combat knife and start walking into town.
Step 1: steal a sword. My knife has served me well, but it always was my backup weapon, and I'm going to need a longer blade if these things have thick skins and a long reach.
Step 2: rescue whoever I can. I'll need to group them up inside a defensible structure, and arm them as best I can. my knives or a sword would probably be worse than useless on them without my training, spears, staves, clubs, and axes are the way to go, preferably spears. together, they'll have a chance.
or... maybe I'll need to get them to run out of town. If the town itself is being targeted, or if the things are smart and organized, then their best bet is to do what I was thinking of earlier, and to get out into the woods and hide. In that case I'll want to draw off whatever is attacking them and just yell for them to get out of town and into the woods and hide. the rest will be up to them.
Step 3: Raid the compound. I don't want to bring anyone with me when I do that, I think that might be where the monsters will be coming from. I need answers, and there's no better time than a night that nobody will remember.
Get moving into town, and start putting my plans into action. Step 1: Steal a sword, and since I'm planning theft, I might as well steal the best one I can find. None of the fancy ceremonial swords, a good, balanced blade ment for real combat.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

He's..a human.
...
Is sky blue a natural hair color?

Again the thoughts followed Eleri's vision, until she focused on the man in front of her. A twinge or a string in her spoke of empathy and hurt. She pitied him, and wondered if she could aid him.

He was missing a hand...and though matted, dirty and otherwise very gruesome to hold, she...took hold of it, in the bucket and approached slowly after taking a deep breath.

This was crazy, said a thought, and yet it also said to go on with it. It wasn't of her to abandon such duties.

Be cautious--try to ascertain in the surroundings of a hostile predator. Either way, approach the man and check health condition. Look at the skies--what time is it? Is there any other area I've seen near my beach-village where there is civilization I could probably drop off this person? Any herbs nearby I could use to aid the wounded?

...Focus primarily on checking his health condition.

((This turn is going to be delayed a bit. I was almost done writing it up and my computer had the audacity to crash, which meant I lost my work. I had Lazarus for Chrome before, but for some reason it was disabled due to not being from the Chrome Web Store.
:(
I still saved the rolls from this round though, so I think it won't take as long as I would have imagined.))
