Seriously, dogs is like, the least useful way to deal with the poisoned chocolates. A lot of the more useful ways are also more interesting, because they involve digging up subplots. If it comes down to dogs vs. something else, change my vote to the other option.

Hell, IIRC one of the "princess" skills--maybe Court Manners--avoids the poison as well, simply because you put off eating them until later instead of gorging yourself, and a servant ends up dying when they sneak one while you're out.

The duchess, our friend Lotte's mother, is indeed behind several of the major plots. They can, however, be averted (and she can actually be turned into a useful ally for the endgame) with careful play. The obvious first move is to not let her get bitten in Week 3, which means a Composure rush early on. I won't spoil everything else, though.

You could also rush reflexes instead and then send away/imprison the Duchess of Ursul before stopping the snake yourself (you could even just imprison her for 1 week, then visit her and release her to advice you). That said whether or not Lottie gets bitten has no effect on her mother and only really matters in a few very specific endgames (mentioned tentacle monster being one of them).

My vote goes to 2x Divination; Priestess Bellodie all the way!

Reason - if we go Lumen, we know accounting let's us through. If not, we still know having enough in this group let's us invest in the printing press we missed out on last time.

Voice is something we actually get a bonus to and it would be nice to use our bonuses.
