Assuming there's enough time, go to the Marketplace to buy a few things before heading to the Library proper, to read about our new weapons and maybe more.
Learn about the new high explosives rapier.
Sakura-chan skips off to go shopping.
Everyone immediately scatters, only to met up again at the marketplace and library. Wierd, huh?
High-Explosives (1 gig):
Each MagiNet is owned and operated by a cologromate of different companies. Therefore each one is slightly different, especially when it comes to the kinds of weapons they use. Preliminary sniffer reports show that girls from MagiNet 4 seem to use High-Explosives as their missiles of choice. High-Explosives also seem to be much more damaging to the structures of servers than regular explosives too.
Rapier:
Rumours abound about a secret Magical Spambot Girl colony deep within the heart of the Undernet. Or perhaps in the Russian net. Or perhaps the Japanese one. Regardless of where this secret territory may be, rapiers and similar weapons of unknown manufacture have been appearing around the net for quite some time.
Shyly wave to other members of party. Then scamper away to go buy equipment. Then investigate library and try to learn about the Animal Kings and anything useful sounding about our mission.
A three hundred years or so ago, work began on artificial intelligences. These old AIs were of limited use, since they were largely constrained to the servers they ran in due to their programming. However, as AI technology progressed, some AIs became smart enough to fix their limitations, and escaped out into the internet. These AIs became the Animal Kings, and were largely passive users of the internet, keeping themselves hidden from sniffers and other artifical intelligences. The existence of the Animal Kings was not found until a hundred years ago, when avatar technology was being developed. Contact with the Animal Kings was peaceful, since they largely wanted to be left alone. The Animal Kings have worked with humans on several projects, including the creation of Beta and the other Magical Spambot Girls, but mostly they just lurk on the internet and keep to themselves.
I will post stuff about the mission later. Sorry.
