The kitchenbots are as hard to kill as the 'scanfad.

It's because everyone is all worked up about "Killing the scanfad". These M-class infections are crafty, adaptable, clever, infectious, parasitic, vicious if need be, anathema to all that is good and conducive to a good forum atmosphere, obnoxious, and above all viral, but their greatest weakness is not caring. Like extremists and infections, if they grow too quickly, they kill their supply and die. Given nothing they will convert a segment of the population, and then, as their hosts resist and return, immune to or disillusioned with the fad, they gradually fade off, alone and forgotten, given the unending death that is the oblivion of the dustbin. Challenged, they can do extraordinary things.
