The idea of flooding the hold with your vomit isn't going to take it's beating sitting down. It launches a counterattack on your sanity, brutally punishing it to the point that you are leaning over the ramp preparing to blow chunks like no tomorrow. For several minutes you attempt to flood the hold, and succeed in making a decently large puddle. Unfortunately the seawater fails to wake up any other passengers no matter how much you pour on them; They appear fairly comatose at this point. Deciding that filling up the ships massive hold would take weeks, if not months, of constant vomiting, you stop to go do something else.

Getting up from the edge of the ramp, you decide you need to find a place to hide from the giant. You crouch down and cautiously make your way to a stack of barrels to your right. You take shelter between the barrels and the port side of the ship. Behind the barrels you find several lengths of rope and a large amount of spare cloth.

Off the side of the ship a spout of fire leaps up from the water; you can feel the heat searing your back.

It is extremely hot. You are wet. There is a strong aching pain is your chest. There are several lengths of rope and a pile of cloth nearby.

I'm thinking we should form a sling out of the cloth that we could hold items in. Making clothing without needle and thread and just with sheets of cloth might not work great. But it's worth a shot I suppose.

Displeased by the fact that you must both cower from the giant and be naked at the same time, you decide to rectify one of those problems. Tearing off a large square of cloth you set about making some clothes. You rip a hole in the approximate center for your head and one on both sides for your arms. Then, draping the cloth over your head, you stick your head and arms through the holes. after that you use a length of rope to tie yourself a belt, securing it to your body. The end product is an ill-fitting dress.

Figuring that it might be nice to be able to carry objects without the use of your hands, you tear off a smaller square of cloth for a bag. You pull up the corners of the square and tie it up with a slip knot so you can tighten and loosen it at your convenience. You tuck the modestly sized bag into the side of your belt and it now hangs empty at your side.

Now that you're clothed you notice that the cloth and rope you fashioned your dress and bag from is unusually cool and seems resistant to the heat around you. Judging by it's itchiness, it's also some form of wool or animal hair.

What's going on, on the deck of the ship? Any islands in sight?

You peek over the stack of barrels to get a look at what's going on. To stern you see the giant you spotted earlier asleep against a wall with a bottle of wine at his side. To the left of him is a door, slightly ajar, leading to a cabin and to the right is a flight of stairs leading to the bridge deck. On the main deck there are various stacks of barrels, coils of rope, spare sails, spars, tackles, blocks, and other sailing equipment. Looking up towards the sails you are surprised to see them rather lively. You spot about two dozen brown, rat-like creatures jumping from spar to spar, tieing knots, managing the sails, and manning the crows nest. In addition to the rat creatures, you notice a group of seabirds circling the sails and making passes at the creatures in an attempt to get a meal.

You look out to the horizon to see if there's any land nearby, but there's too much steam rising from the water to get a proper view. You'd have to be in the crow's nest to see anything properly.

+1 for sneak to cabin, but also before we leave, keep some extra cloth and rope to make a blackjack and sling as soon as we find something heavy enough for weight / ammo.

You grab some rope and the cloth scraps for later and stuff them into your bag before setting out toward the ships cabin. You sneak across the deck, hunched and hiding behind barrels when possible and you successfully manage to evade the crew's notice and reach the cabin door. Eyeing the sleeping giant warily, and decide to take a peek inside.

The cabin appears sparsely decorated and incredibly filthy. Directly in front of the door is a massive desk strewn with comically large paperwork and writing equipment. Behind the desk is an equally massive bed and wardrobe and to the left of the desk are two unopened chests. Empty bottles of wine, some broken and shattered, surround the desk. The window at the back of room lets in orange light from the fiery water below, giving the room an eerie glow.
