Scavenge, Murder, Survive - with your friends!
The game is in early alpha, I don't have much as of now but a few work in progress screenshots of the game. The idea is that it is supposed to be a player driven post apocalyptic survival game in the veins of DayZ, Cataclysm, Fallout, Rogue Survivor, you get the point. It is a mishmash of everything I like about games, ranging from Starwars Galaxies to HellMOO.
Tales of Dust is a post apocalyptic survival game in developement, scavenge for food, water, find shelter and survive the terrors of the wasteland. There will be scarcity and hunger and you will have to kill your fellow men to survive. Factions shall form, each with their own ambitions and ideologies, brutal fights shall occur due to rising tensions between. What will the fate of humanity be? Will it survive and prosper, or will it shatter and fall? You can work for either to happen, in this player driven Not-So-Massively-Multiplayer-Online Apocalyptic Survival game!
So uhh.. here goes! Tales of Dust is my little baby project that i have been working on for a few months now, on and off whenever i had time for it. The idea is that you move around in a slowly decaying world scavenging and surviving stuff like cyberzombies, aliens and other players. Meanwhile you have to scavenge for food by either hunting the game yourself, or picking it off some corpse you found. Water will be scarce and you will have to boil it to make it drinkable. I want people to fight for resources and supplies. I want characters to be something you specialise in various desciplines so that one man cant take on an army, and be able to build a car from scratch, but a person with their capabilities to offer to other players, usually their friends, building a party of scavengers, crafters, riflemen and scientists.(dont worry, there ill be a lonewolf trait for people who prefer to play alone, this wont make you a oneman army though, you will have to be vary) This is all of course what i intend the game to become.
Current features:- A complex damage system involving bodyparts and various types of damage such as pollutional, radiation, biological damage, etc.
- Buildings that can be opened and closed.
- A movement speed system
- A (very simple, early)combat system
