Righty.

The last update on Kickstarter for the game was 20th July 2014, the update stated that another update would be just one week away. Nothing has been forthcoming.

Since then, the developers have squatted in an AirBnB room and have declared residency after being there for 30 days (as per California law). The landlord will now be looking to go through the courts to evict them, and possibly claim damages. The fact that the developers had a very, very, similar case in 2009 suggests the courts will not look favourably on them.

With no home soon, and possibly less money, it's highly likely that the game will be postponed or given up on.

Did I say it would never be released in my initial post? No. I said I was looking forward to the game and the developers, though doing something pretty idiotic, may have indefinitely delayed the release.

So these two brothers, we'll call them Maksym Dickhead and Denis Dickhead, raise $40,000 on kickstarter for ConEx plus according to them $1000-7000 a day in sales on their website and never really got anywhere with it. Then a long time later, they start another Kickstarter for a different game, and basically tell everybody who questions the move to go fornicate with themselves. Meanwhile, they are illegally/legally squatting in the home of a nice woman and running up and insane electrical bill by leaving the AC on and the windows and doors open. When she threatened to cut off the power unless they stopped, they presumably used KS funds to retain a lawyer because cutting off the power would hurt their ability to make $1000-7000 a day. They alternate between laughing at people when they ask about ConEx and pretending to be sorry, never really offering a timeframe or even a solid answer. Kickstarter get's sick of their behavior and the attention these two are drawing and cancels their KS(the second or both?). The brothers are assholes and idiots. They are idiots because they think that they can do this with no consequences, as if a loophole will protect them from 40,000 people of varying mental health and moral development whom they have screwed over and laughed in the face of. I know a bouncer in LA who's mother lost everything when squatters took over her home while she was visiting her own dying mother. They then sued her when they fell near her pool for negligence and won, taking her home, savings and causing legal debt. She became homeless and ended up killing herself. This bouncer now spends his free time helping people who have squatters in a less than legal way and he told me that he is trying to find the address to their home. If he finds it this story will get a lot more interesting.

I didn't say you were always using words of one syllable, I said you sounded angry at me. Exactly because usually you use longer words. I sincerely apologize of I misread the situation- reading human emotion is as confusing as it is fascinating.

You said you were "disappointed" (that's another common code for "angry", right?) and the developers were idiots (you explained this part). You made no real judgement on it being canceled or not, but most people seemed to imply it was.

No, disappointed doesn't mean angry. It means feeling "...sad or displeased because someone or something has failed to fulfil one's hopes or expectations...", this doesn't imply anger at all.

Aha. "Sad" was my second choice, but I ultimately went with "displeased".

But displeased doesn't necessarily mean angry, either. Anger is quite a forceful emotion, I'm simply deflated.

Well, the devs are responsible for either delivering a project, or returning the kickstarter money. Even in cases where the money has already been spent. I still think Lord Dullard needs to pay us back despite his Roguelike project not working out near the end (although it feels a bit odd asking for money back in his case when it looked like he at least tried).

He offered pretty blatantly. Last I heard he was paying it back to anyone who asked for it back, and he was working a full time job trying to accomplish this goal. I'm not sure whether everyone's been paid back because I didn't pursue the matter: I was fine with him keeping my money for his efforts.

If this is what in fact happened -- as I said, I'm not sure about his success in implementation of the pay-back plan -- I'm not sure what more you're asking for.

He repaid everyone who asked. I only asked for 1/2 back even though he offered to repay the full $500. I felt that he did owe me something in return after I showed such faith in him as a B12 dev and friend and he disappeared for months several times then he just decided he didn't feel like making it anymore.  Still, I have no hard feelings because he was a class act eventually.
