i have a military commander guard who i had put through arcane training (i didn't realize they were mutually exclusive) now i want to turn him back into a guard, but when i do (put him through guard training) after a bit of time as a guard he reverts back to a arcane dwarf, is there any way to permanently turn him back into a guard (and not a arcane) or is he permanently a mage now?

Is this not work, atom-smash him into the oblivion or create other Guard.

so i have to do leave guild first instead of just send him through guard training?
ok i will try that, since killing my most experienced military dwarf in the fort strikes me as a bad idea.
if blow comes to blow ill just train him in the earth school and suffer with it.

so i tried putting the commander through leave guild and it worked... temporarily.
i put him through guard training again and turned off the game shortly there after, when i turned the game back on i got this message



is there something else i have to do to get him to be a guard again, or is it impossible to unarcane dwarfs at the moment?
